Hi, I’m just sitting here about to log on to finish the quests and train. I need to practise singing so I’m going to be up late again but I just seem to be a night owl. Doing the quests today made me think, which quests do I want to come in SSO? I think I have 3 obvious ones but no not so obvious one!
Main story quests Can we just hurry up and rescue Anne? it would be awesome to finally be able to meet Garnok as well. I’d like a chance to learn and be able to “actively use” our powers. For example, to fight Garnok it was down to use which spells we used. Of course, I don’t want to defeat Garnok yet as here’d be no more quests. I did hope to meet him in 2016 but it seems not. GED Herman is still captured by GED. What’s happened to him? Is he being questioned as we speak? How long will it take before we can release him? I really hope that GED quests come soon as they are really enjoyable plus I want to know what happens to Herman. Do you remember the photo of the GED base we saw when they ere releasing Epona? Well I’m hoping that that will be in the next GED story quests! Ill father We still need to save Thomas Rockwell’s son from Thomas before they meet. Remember, Thomas drank some water from Pi’s swamp and now is very ill, a zombie sort of. I think that we need to cure Thomas and get the family back together. It’s been a while since these quests and I just want them to get going again. Jorvik Riding Academy Right at the start of the game it said that we were at Moorland Stables for the Summer and we would try and get into the Jorvik City Riding Academy. I really want to do these quests. I’d like you to be tested in Western, Dressage, Jumping and Cross Country before you got in. I’d also like it to be like an actual competition to get in (with the other candidates as NPC of course so our character would have to get in). Just think of the quests you could do there! I think that that would be awesome. So that’s what I was in game. What about you?

What do you mean I’m going to trigger a migraine because I’m still up? Ok I should sleep but I wanted to type about the update. It’s so inconvenient having climbing on Wednesdays! The snow in Jorvik melted away with Christmas this year, but it’s okay because it’s time for the Christmas clean up. I’m close to level 20 but I won’t get there this week. I miss the snow and wish it had stayed longer. However, I’m happy that I can do the Fort Pinta races with James and the other clean up quests including the last present. Also the porridge man is back and he gave me a nice blue hat, thanks! Bed time for me, I need to get better at sleeping. Night!
I decided to make a bit of a test about which soul rider are you most like. It obviously is only a bit of fun and isn’t 100% accurate but give it a go and see what you get!
You see someone attacked in the streets, do you: A) Check and heal any injuries B) Fend off their attacker C) Try to find out what happened D) None of the above, but you would quite like to have the ability to travel back in time and find out what happened Obvious one, what is your favourite element? A) Stars B) Lightning C) Moon D) Sun What is your favourite type of riding? A) Just all riding, I love it B) Racing C) Theory D) Dressage What is your favourite thing to do in your own time? A) Riding B) Defending people who are in need of it C) Reading D) Fashion Who do you like to hang out with? A) I just hang out with my friends B) Boys who are ready to have a bit of a tumble C) I prefer to be left alone but I don’t mind some company now and again D) The popular kids of course… Mostly A You are most like Lisa! Lisa is the final soul rider who uses the power of the stars. Lisa owns a horse called Starshine and moves to Jorvik because her father gets a job at Dark Core. She talks to her horse Starshine one day at the stables and after that they stick together. Later she finds out she uses to power of the stars and is good at healing. Mostly B You are most like Alex! Alex is a bubbly girl who is a tomboy due to all her brothers! One of these brothers is of course James from Fort Pinta who gets into a lot of trouble. She has the power of lightning and can shoot it from her hands. She is also the one to monitor the rune stones and is often used “on the field”. Mostly C You are most like Linda! Linda loves riding her for Meteor and school and is often found torn between them both. it is her that first discovers the mysteries of Mr Sands. She has the magic powers from the moon and can see in the future. She is amazing with the history of Jorvik, something that helps you out many times. Mostly D You are most like Anne! Anne draws power from the sun and has a strange ability to travel through space and time. Anne likes fashion and her and her horse Concorde has posed for many fashion pictures. She can be quite arrogant but she has a heart of gold. My answers were: 1. A 2. A 3. C 4. C 5. C Meaning I am most like Linda, but I also have a lot in common with Lisa (the name being one of them). I love doing things like this and I haven’t seen enough for Star Stable. Who did you get? I didn’t really have a value what to write about today. I’m so stressed out about a test tomorrow (which isn’t actually important really but the subject means a lot to me) and I still felt like I had to come to the FR event tonight, so I haven’t had much time. Although, I did waste an hour just scrolling through YouTube so I thought that I’d share some of the videos that I watched, please let me know if you know any similar channels! I was going to make this into a YouTube series, but I came to love the storyline so much that I had to write it. I see the start of a brand new fan fiction!
First there was nothing besides being. No time, space, thoughts. Just existence in its purest form. Then, after an unmeasurable period of time, a large, overly green field materialised. Horses stood all around me. They told me I’d wake up soon, that they loved me. The former confused me, but the latter made me want to reply. I wanted to hug the horses, tell them that I loved them. But I was a rigid board of card. I couldn’t speak; I couldn’t move. My eyes opened: I was finally awake. Four months after waking up, I sat on my bed in the Silverglade head trauma hospital. I starred out of the window at the cars. Red, yellow, blue, blue, red, yellow. After a coma you have to relearn everything. Everything from walking, talking, writing, remembering, chewing. At first even rattling a rattle was hard. It difficult to explain what it’s like. It’s as if you are writing with your non dominant hand. You can’t get your body to do what you want. It is big, clumsy. It is frustrating to the limit. I actually recovered faster than predicted. I had talk in slow short sentences and even walk a bit, but it’s so tiring that I normally use a wheelchair. I’m can write again now - even if it’s massive. The worst part is the inability to remember anything. I have a notepad that I write things down in to refer back to if I get lost. I know what you are wondering, what happened to me? I was out for a ride with my Baylis on the advanced Cross Country complex. We were taking the advanced route on the water complex when Bay’s show came loose. He caught it and stumbled so I grabbed the saddle to stay on - it was a cold January morning and I didn’t want to take a fall into the water. However, he didn’t find his feet and he started to falls so I used my training and pushed out away from him so that I wouldn’t be caught underneath. I hit my head of the edge of a fence as I fell. I was out cold for about 3 minutes. When I woke up I saw Baylis down by the river so I ran to him when (in my dizzy state) I fell into the river, smashing my head on the rocks. It was 2 hours until anyone found me. I was airlifted to the hospital barely breathing. I think my heart stopped twice. And here I am, starring our the window with one thought: “I want to go home”. Hello! I am annoyed at the moment because I had the video all filmed and edited but then I didn’t have my username and password for me to upload it. I didn’t have any time to write any other kind of blog post today as I have a cold and I should be in bed: I have kayaking tomorrow - early.
Today I’ve mainly been planning my YouTube channel which I’m planning to relaunch tomorrow! I’ve been looking at other SSO YouTubers and I either know I can’t do that style or I quite honestly hate it. Therefore, I’m going to be trying out a new style of SSO videos that I haven’t seen done before. Tomorrow I hope to upload my first video and then on Tuesday I’m going to upload the teaser for my new series, ‘Lost by sleep’. It’s about a girl (who is still unnamed) who after a riding accident falls into a coma and the story line will be about her trying to recover. I really enjoy making videos and I can’t wait to get started with this!
I think it’s time to talk about something that on my blog I don’t normally talk about, my friends. Here you can see a photo of some of my closest friends on SSO! From left to right, Lizbby, Cait, me, V and Becca. I read an article that said “they come for the horses but they stay for the relationships” which is perfectly true, I do stay for my friends. The club and a few others. I talk with my SSO friends daily on WhatsApp, Instagram and online. I have Skyped quite a lot of them and I can honestly say that I am closer to a lot of them than I am to some of the friends that I have in real life. Value the connection you make online, some won’t be permanent but others will be some of the best people you’ve ever met!
For those of you who follow my Instagram (@lisilentland) you'll know that last night I called it right! The update was brand new Mustang modles. We haven't got the nail bar, new story quests or racing bonuses yet; all of which were promissed in 2016. I hope these come out soon because I am looking forward to them. Let's take a peek at these Mustangs! I really liked the mustang breed and I do like the new colours. WIth the grey however, it's the normal complant: it's too samey. I feel like I prefer more of a pattern on greys (although this one does have a few spots). With expection to the spotty one, the legs seem rushed and in blocky colours and so does the shading. However, I really like the effect of white and brown on the brown one, and I like the spots, I just wish it was blended better together. I can see why the spotty one is the favourite of my club Frosty Roses (which you could follow on @frosty.roses). I pretty like the overall pattern but it's my normal complaint about the colour of the mane as in place it literally just suddenly turns grey? It also does this at the bottom of the tail. I think that my favourite is the spotty, followed by the brown and then finally the grey. Overall: 6.7/10 As normal, Star Stable introduced some beautiful new clothes and tack to Jorvik City Mall. Let's take a look! The clothes at the moment are honestly so beautiful. I love the top as it's something I would wear in real life riding (although only on a hack or floorwork). It's such a nice shade of brown which is easy to work into an outfit. I do think that it's not really suited to Winter so this one will have to wait for my Spring shop before I bring it home! Although I like the trousers, I feel tht quite a few very similar things have been coming out reccently. However, they are still really nice! The boots have a lovely pattern but remain looking realistic. It's a yes from me! Finally the hat can be described in one way - stylish. I really like the beeds for show as they look nice whilst keeping it looking like something you could actually wear out riding.
Moving onto the tack. I am not so sure of the mix in blue and brown, but I love the styles of them both. I'm 99% sure that the saddle is a Western saddle and then the bridle is an English bridle? I'm not so sure about wearing these together. The saddle pad is perfect for riding out in the Winter, it looks cosy while fitting into many outfits. The same goes for the boots, perfect for Winter riding in style and warmth. There we are, my opinions on the update. What did you like about the new horses? And I'm home! It's great to be back and I have spent the day with the club as well as doing my horse market quests and swapping wishes with Santa! I'm very tried but still the day has flown past. I was going into my home stable when I wondered about why I was at SGEC. It was then that I thought about making a flow chat for where you should have your home stable! Obviously, it won't be 100% right and I can think about other reasons that you'd want to be at places, eg if you liked bone hunting you might want a hs in Valedale. I've also aimed this at people on servers where Steve's Farm is the social capital for the server. I really enjoy making these so I think I'll make one for which NPC are you most like! Since I made the chart, I got my current home stable - Silverglade Equestrian Centre. What did you get?
As a lot of you will know, this time a year ago I decided that I no longer wanted to be called Lisa, I wanted to be Li.
In 2015 I spoke my mind to people and (though often not my fault) I made a lot of enemies. I wanted to start afresh in 2016 and so I decided the best way to do that was to be Li. I think a lot of people think that I literally took the sa off of Lisa. I actually came across the name because Li is the Chinese Goddess of light. I think light symbolises so many positive things, hope, calm and much more. I wanted to have a name that meant something so I settled with Li. And now you know why I want to be called Li, so it would be great if you could respect that wish. It’s also quicker to type! Happy New Year! I’m back tomorrow and now it’s time for monthly favourites. I did wonder about doing yearly favourites but there is too much to choose from! This months favourite item of clothing has to be the dress that came on New Year’s Eve. I normally hate dresses but I really like all of the textures on this one. It looks homemade and I really like to wear it with black and a pink Western hat! My favourite piece of tack is another thing found in the advent calendar. It’s the saddle pad. I’ve always loved this style saddle pads so a Winter version of it is perfect for me! Currently my favourite place in SSO is the table in my home stable where I can sit and think without players friending me. I can just chill with my club! My favourite race has to be the one that got me back into high scoring, Jasper’s race the other way round. Newest horse has to go to my brand new Andy, Royaltorch. I love the model and the colours. I’ve wanted her for such a long time and she’s beautiful! My favourite quest had to go to the Madison quests. They were beautifully animated and the story line was so amazing. Finally, my favourite update had to be the snow. It’s so beautiful on Jorvik with it and it makes a nice change. But I’m sure I’ll be fed up with it soon!
