Hello! Short post here on a little though I had 4.5 metres in the air, balancing with no hands at climbing tonight. It’s about ownership and what makes a good owner. I think that it’s easy to run a club when you’re full with 100 people waiting to join. When you have 1K followers on Instagram, 50 people at open events, 20 club members at each normal event. It’s not that hard to run. Yes, it does take some skill. To look after 49 other people, to keep up events, to organise and to still keep that family vibe takes skill. But I think the true mark of an owner is when things aren’t going well, When people are leaving, when you’re finding it hard to get members. When you’re getting hate, when people inside and outside the club are talking about you being a bad owner. When you want to disband. When you know that that would be so so so much easier. I think a true owner’s love for their club lets them full through this. It stops them disbanding and they keep going. They build or rebuild their family. So rather than counting a good owner with their current successes, look back at their past and see what they’ve had to face but I think that the ones who kept going haven’t really said much about what’s happening to the rest of the world. So if you’re in this position keep going and one day, if you look up, your club will flourish.
Disclaimer: these are just some thoughts of mine, I’m not try to peck or aim this at anyone. This isn’t based on examples, this is just my thoughts.

Our “little” chat lasted what I guess was about half the night. He wanted to know everything. How come I work for Dark Core? Who have I killed (too many to list)? How did I kill them (does it matter)? By the end of it I was s i c k of his voice and still neither of us had actually gained anything - so it was all a bit pointless.
Stanley came back into the room as Buggings finally walked out quite clearly looking in a sate of rage, apparently I wasn’t of the only to feel that it was a wasted conversation. Stanley smiled at me and sat on the floor just across the room from where I was. “My names actually Billie but Buggings doesn’t seem to be able to see that,” she said. I looked up and replied: “On the streets I was called Key because I could unlock any door>” “I’m guessing without a key?” Millie laughed. I liked the way she didn’t comment that I used to live on the streets. “Yes, without a key,” I agreed. “Owners don’t normally give you the key to break into their apartment.” “I was on the street here on Jorvik you know. Jarlaheim. You might have heard of it? It’s a town but there’s a lot of street people looking for work in the farms.” I didn’t reply to this. It was clear that she never found any work because if she had I doubted she’d be working for JI8. “I wanted to become a soul rider,” she told me. “My Grandmother was one and a new soul rider is born to replace one that’ll die. My Grandmother was close to death when my twin and I were born. She was called Alex you know - Mum thought that we’d be boys. I have a lot of brothers you know. You may have met James? He’s a business man at Fort Pinta now.” This came out in a rush, the words jumping over each other in their haste to be first. “Well being a soul rider would have been a lot cooler than JI8.” “Huh, well tomorrow we’re going to raid Dark Core and you’re coming with us>” Great. Start with a score of 3, if you’ve done it take one away and if you haven’t add one. If you get less than zero you have to do 3 lots of stable chores online today. Comment your score below!
Never have I ever gone to Moorland and pretended to be a newb (I have) Never have I ever shared my Instagram password (I haven’t) Never have I ever spent all my star coins so I have zero (I haven’t) Never have I ever spent all my Jorvik Shillings so I have zero (I haven’t) Never have I ever done all my races (I have) Never have I ever done all my races, dailies and chores (I haven’t) Never have I ever tried to jump off the wall at Jarlaheim (I have) Never have I ever tried to get to the little island off Paddock Island (I have) Never have I ever not trained a horse (I haven’t) Never have I ever been removed from a club (I have - it’s because I said thank you in Swedish) My score: 3 Comment your score below! I’m heading away tonight and I’ll be away tomorrow night as well so the posts will be scheduled.. So as a request, I’m going to talk about servers!
There are a lot of servers in SSO - I believe around 40. Each server serves a county (countries). Some counties have multiple servers. Also, the servers are in groups. Although someone from Sweden can mail someone from the UK, someone from Ireland can’t mail from the US because Ireland and the US aren’t in the mail group. Which is why there are players and clubs with the same names on that server. Servers can also get full - Cupcake Valley is full right now. But heres the question I want to talk about today - is it good to not allow players to move to another counties server or should all servers been open to everyone? Well there are several reasons why playing with people from your country is a good thing. First, time zones. I know someone who might be online at 10 o’clock at night while for the rest of us it’s only 8 - which is when our events happen. It could get more extreme with 12/ 13 hour differences which sets a problem of whether on the server it should be night or day. Also, language. It would be very hard to have a chat filter that allows players in one langage to speak but doesn’t allow players in another language to say banned words. For example, bra is good in Swedish. This would also mean that you could get randomly invite to a club that doesn’t speak the same language as you - awkward. However, I would love to experience the different cultures and languages on my main account (rather than experiencing them over alts). SSO is about meeting new friends and it would be nice to meet people from other counties. Plus, it would really help with learning a language - e.g. French. What if we had country servers just for the country and then anyone who wants to could play on an international server. Overall, I think that it would be fun but practically with timezones it could never work. Have a lovely weekend! 2 years to this day and pretty much minute, I joined FR for the first time 2 years ago. A time when FR was known by about 20 people. We were counting members leave and join but it was still that idiotic place that I call a home. Never did I believe that two years on I'd have owned i for 3 months. I've grown and changed and so has the club, but the principle has stayed the same - a place where friends are family.
I want to thank everyone who has supported the club over the years. From Ava Northstar, Kate Mysteryfield and Sophia Riverbridge the previous owners; to everyone who joined the waiting list. It's been a pleasure to know every one of you and I'm so glad that I was in the right place at the right time 2 years ago. Another thank you to everyone who came to the open event tonight. A better description of what happened will be found shortly on FR's blog (here) but here are some photos. We had a private informal FR hang out afterwards because I wanted to say Happy Birthday with the family! Today’s update gave us some more quests in New Hillcrest with Jamie the baker. It’s about time! I filmed the quests which I will edit and upload at some point because I think it’s easier to show the quests that way rather than over my blog. I will talk about the quests here however. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the quest animations. When putting out a fie we just stood there, I thought we were past that. Also, we pretty much just collected, filled up and delivered milk and then sorted out a burned pie and delivered that. So it wasn’t too exciting but it did give XP! I’m now 45 xp off level 20 but there’s a new faction + new dailies and a rep quest that I’ll be able to finish soon and hopefully, hopefully, hopefully get to that level 20. To match the new faction we also got 2 new shops. One is awesome with food and cutlery which you can place in your brand new brown love heart saddle bag from the shop. I didn’t get any photos from that one but I did get some of the other shop! I don’t think they’re my kind of clothes but quite nice! And finally, you can now feed your horse bread. Yes…bread…
