As I climb on Wednesdays I never have time to do the quests and write about them, but I'll do that tomorrow. So today's update looks amazing. We have 4 new quest lines to do. This first is to help Annis set up a brand new beanie hat stop. I expect these quests will be short but the hats look amazing! I think I'm going to buy quite a few because they look so nice, more about that tomorrow. The next quests were feeding the pigeons, dull but involves xp so it's awesome! Remember that girl Sienna I blogged about? Well it turns out she's waiting for some friends, but they never appeared. The final quest is something more interesting. There's been a spy at the ice cream parlor, I wonder why?
It looks like quite a nice week, I'm going to log on now and play through at least some of the quests. What did you think of the update?

People have been waiting for it for ages, there have been many Instagram posts screaming about it, Jaharla is finally here! I must admit, I wasn't one of the people screaming as I don't tend to buy tack that often since I just stick to the different colour sets that I currently have. No, I was way more excited for the quests as all of my friends have reaches level 20 and I'm so close - yet so far. To start these quests you must have helped Mandy find her step sister and then all you have to do is talk to Julie! Spoiler warning: this may contain spoilers about the most recent update of Star Stable Oh of course, Jaharla I knew what that was I just... forgot (not). Anyway it sounds interesting and I've been ill all day and I can't sleep anymore, so why not. Race you there! How lucky, the bus is here already. I better run to get on it else I'll miss it. Broom broom! Nice to see you Mandy! It's awesome to see that you're getting into riding. I think Julie would love to spend more time with you if you joined the Bobcats. I think it's great that you think it's time you got yourself tack, it means you must have improved so much since we last met! Yay, let's go. Oh... Who's this...? What happened? The birds stole your key. Well that's hard to fix (!). Which tree? The one by the ice cream parlor? Oh that's easy to sort. Found the keys. Here they are. You'll give me the honor of opening the doors. Because I've never done that before (!). (This whole island seems incapable or too lazy to open their own doors and fetch their own things. Honestly, and most of them are adults.) Nice, and you got me a thank you gift? I didn't actually do anything but thank you anyway! Now it's time to look at the actually clothes in question! The upper tack set is my favorite as I don't like the mix of colours in the second set. In the first set I love the colours and textures, I also like the gold emblem thing on the saddle. I'm not so keen on the bridle as it has random red patches, and I'd rather that the different colours were on the different 'straps'. On the second piece I love the colour s and pattern on the bridle and saddle. I like how it looks "formal casual". I also like the studding. I wish that the studding on the pad was smaller and I'm not a fan of the colour, but the overall texture and style is amazing! I also like the little horse in the corner. I quite liked the shop but I wish they put a bit more in there to start off since it is meant to be the best tack in Jorvik. However, it was decent. Also, Matilda and Games Master Ylva are finally back with the Star Stable Show! I love the use of the stickers in this, but I will have to wait and see before I vote on the hat!
All in all, this was a decent update. Nothing too big but just enough quests and new things to keep us going. I really want new story quests though! // Thank you very much to everyone who sent me well wishes. I'm feeling 100 times better and I should be almost back to normal by tomorrow! For those of you who follow my Instagram (@lisilentland) you'll know that last night I called it right! The update was brand new Mustang modles. We haven't got the nail bar, new story quests or racing bonuses yet; all of which were promissed in 2016. I hope these come out soon because I am looking forward to them. Let's take a peek at these Mustangs! I really liked the mustang breed and I do like the new colours. WIth the grey however, it's the normal complant: it's too samey. I feel like I prefer more of a pattern on greys (although this one does have a few spots). With expection to the spotty one, the legs seem rushed and in blocky colours and so does the shading. However, I really like the effect of white and brown on the brown one, and I like the spots, I just wish it was blended better together. I can see why the spotty one is the favourite of my club Frosty Roses (which you could follow on @frosty.roses). I pretty like the overall pattern but it's my normal complaint about the colour of the mane as in place it literally just suddenly turns grey? It also does this at the bottom of the tail. I think that my favourite is the spotty, followed by the brown and then finally the grey. Overall: 6.7/10 As normal, Star Stable introduced some beautiful new clothes and tack to Jorvik City Mall. Let's take a look! The clothes at the moment are honestly so beautiful. I love the top as it's something I would wear in real life riding (although only on a hack or floorwork). It's such a nice shade of brown which is easy to work into an outfit. I do think that it's not really suited to Winter so this one will have to wait for my Spring shop before I bring it home! Although I like the trousers, I feel tht quite a few very similar things have been coming out reccently. However, they are still really nice! The boots have a lovely pattern but remain looking realistic. It's a yes from me! Finally the hat can be described in one way - stylish. I really like the beeds for show as they look nice whilst keeping it looking like something you could actually wear out riding.
Moving onto the tack. I am not so sure of the mix in blue and brown, but I love the styles of them both. I'm 99% sure that the saddle is a Western saddle and then the bridle is an English bridle? I'm not so sure about wearing these together. The saddle pad is perfect for riding out in the Winter, it looks cosy while fitting into many outfits. The same goes for the boots, perfect for Winter riding in style and warmth. There we are, my opinions on the update. What did you like about the new horses? And the Star Stable news is here! We have the last of the Christmas quests and tomorrow we will all be able to jump around Jorvik on our reindeer! I look forward to this every year and there is just something about riding a reindeer that me smile. Also, Raptor has returned in a rather… interesting way. He seems to have taken to performing his new album on a sleigh, which is on a car, which is driving around Jorvik City. Where he is concerned, nothing surprises me. In true Raptor style, he hasn’t yet had the time to release his new album cover! Of course, it is down to us to design it with a prize of a goodie bag and our design being of Spotify. I shall be entering but I will design mine when I am on holiday over New Year. SSO has been very kind and has given us 11 photos of Raptor to use in our album. I need to start writing down ideas. Sadly, this is the last news of 2016, but they will be back in January. If you wanted any contest information, you can find it in the photo below. Finally, there is the normal new clothes in the mall Imagine an outfit with the white top, trousers, gloves and boots. I love it! I love the clothes and textures on all of them! I really like the ruffle tecture on the tops and the lace textures on the boots. Reccently I think that all the clothes must have been designed for me because I love them so much!
What do you think? I can finally do the Madison quests because the glitch has been fixed! I’m going to do them tomorrow however since I want to do them in the light and I have a headache now. Today I want to have a bit of a moan based on a few incidents that have bee happening in FR. As the owner, I get a lot of people coming to me about drama, things that have upset them and this is obviously 100% okay as that’s kind of my role of owner. However, recently lots of people have been upset about outfit stealing so I want to talk about that to try and see if I can stop it happening.
First things first. Unlike stealing someones art piece, it is not legal to take someone’s outfit idea on Star Stable. They have no legal ground against you, true. However, if someone took one of you unedited Instagram photos of Star Stable and posted it without credit, how would you feel? Fun fact, in that situation you would have no legal grounds against them because you do not own that photo. But does that make it right? No. Of course it doesn’t. You put time into that photo, and the same applies for outfits. It can take a very long time to find the perfect outfit and looks good together. You spend 30 minutes running across the map for clothes and piecing it together. You go to stand at Steve’s with your friends before logging off. You can back on to find, to your horror, that one of those friends is being complemented on your outfit. They took 3 minutes to make it because all they had to do it get the clothes, not actually design it. That is creative work that you have taken. So yes, they have no legal grounds against you but that doesn’t make it right. Inspiration is okay and coincidences do happen, but when someone hangs out with someone and half an hour later has the same outfit? I think that’s just called copying and please let’s refrain from doing it! Good night! Also, Madam Asp and Jollisters in Governors Falls have stocked up with some new clothes. I really like these clothes and I’m so tempted to buy everything apart from the middle and furthest right tops. I’m always looking for a new pair of black trousers as I use them as a base for every outfit and I love the texture and details on the grey ones. I also love the details on the helmet as well as how realistic it looks! Since I love things with more then one piece of clothing involved, another one of my favourite things is the checked top and the matching hat. I love the light brown boots as I love the style and I love the textures! And finally, snow has come to Jorvik! I like this because it means that it is here for FRs Christmas week next week. I must go and get ready for climbing.
What did you think of the update? One of the first things I have to do when the Christmas shops come out is to try and make a Christmas outfit. This can often be quite hard to get the right match in colours but so that it also is wearable. I wear this on and off through the Christmas season. I really like it this year and a lot of the outfit was earned through Christmas wishes from Santa~
Green terrain boots - Santa Christmassy winter mittens - Santa Red shorts with black leggings - mall Knitting pixie sweater - Christmas shop Green Santa hoodie (that’s actually a hat) - Santa Christmas Saddle - Santa Winter accessory - Santa Village reins - The star store Green ribbon - unknown Christmas leewards - Christmas shop Green Christmas saddle pad - quests In Jorvik City there are quite a few shops (almost all for the rider) that sell clothes. These are brand new clothes and most of the shops are in the mall kind of style meaning that there is plenty of room for lots of items to be added in the future. There is one clothes shop in Aideen's Plaza but the rest are at Governor's falls! There's so many nice pieces of clothing here that I could't write about them all, so I will pick out from favourites. I really like the purple gloves, They are quite a nautral colour and could therefore fit into an outfit with purple as the base, overtone or undertone. I also like the yellow cardigan. I like the details of the hem and the buttons. I also love the texture as it reminds me of something that is crochated. I love all of the shirts with top things over the top. I think it would make a lovely club uniform as it has that smart-but-not-too-smart look about it. I love the black. dark coloured boots simply because I love the laces detail and it would match with a lot of outfits for the same reason as the purple gloves (they would be great together). Finally, I love the denim shots because I love the details on them and I was looking for something just like this in Summer, better late then never!
I love these clothes but I don't get how SSO designed 23 new pieces of clothing plus the new saddle bag shop on top of the new area. I wish they'd spent that time on expanding the area for the realise but oh well, I still like them! I will post some of the quests tomorrow with another post as well because I feel like JC things must been everywhere and getting boring! Have you seen the new Christmas clothes? There is a little boy who is selling the old ones and the regular shop owner has upgraded. I decided to buy a jumper as I really like the style. I also really like festive things that aren’t as in your face as a Santa hat but which make you feel the vibes anyway. I hope they add more new Christmas clothes after St. Lucia!
I told you that it would be called meet the mustangs! The update took a while so my plans of getting it written before I went out climbing went down the plug hole! However, while on a very hard piece of the balance wall, I was planning this blog post and suddenly found my Dad cheering as I was nearly at the top! But first, about the mustangs: ★ What's the new breed? The fierce Mustang! ★ Where can I get them? You’ll find them at Marley’s Farm in Silverglade. ★ How much do they cost? 969 Star Coins. ★ What level do I have to be? You can purchase these handsome fellas from level 7! ★ Do I need to crunch reputation? No reputation crunching needed! ★ What colors can I choose from? Black, bay and a brown pinto. ★ How do I get the horse to buck? Like the Lipi, the Mustang has its own special movement! Simply mount your Mustang, stand still and hit “space” on your keyboard to turn your calm companion into a bucking bronco! I really like the brown one and the pinto. Some people were complaining about their face shape, with is odd but kind of cute! Others were complaining that it was too matt but since I spend all my time complaining about them being too shiny, I was fine. I am not so keen on the black as the many blends into the body, also it is too black with no blaze or pattern to brake it up. I was a bit worried about their manes, but they look really nice if you purchase a new one. So yes, I got the pinta on and called it Westchip aka Chip and I then made my sister care for all of my horses in return for me going on hers and buying a brown one! I really like the buck and here as some photos of myself and Chip! #MustangMadness New clothes also game out today along with the brand new graphics! I really liked the new clothes as they had the style of newer ones while still being realistic. They are perfect for the riding lessons that I run and I can’t choose a favourite - I want them all. But I can say that the brown jacket and helmet and the blue helmet are my favourites. My sister got the hat and while we were admiring it we also saw the brand new graphics which included brushing your leg and turning your head!
Happy update day! There was a small debate in the club this morning to whether home stables were this week or on the 30th. I wasn’t sure and now I know that the brand new home stables will be coming out on the 30th. I am very excited and Star Stable released a sneak peak but first let’s look at the two main new features, shadows and 12 buckets. I think the shadows are really pretty and I was wondering if they would ever update them! I love the detail such as if you change clothing, the shadow changes also. The 12 buckets are certainly going to help me with the “No stable care” challenge that I want to try. There will of course be 12 because of the 12 horses in the brand new home stables. I am not that excited about these new clothes, but I think the orange and black top will make excellent club uniform for any club that wants to be orange! I also quite like the hat but for the others I either don’t like the colours or the style, fussy me. Newscaster Alva hosted Jorvik news again, this time we saw the brand new home stables. I love them so so much and I am super excited! I am wondering if they will be in a new place because the home stables was opening out onto a different place then the normal home stables opens out, but that could have been just for the demo. Some people have been getting annoyed because SSO hasn’t released home stables this week, but they never promised that they would so chill out and let SSO work on all the amazing things they have planned instead of dealing with hate, thanks.
Today I wanted to share some tips on how I make outfits. I am not perfect out making outfits and I often don’t have all of the right clothes, but I thought I’d share what I know and can do. The first thing is you need to think about what you want to create. Sometimes I want a certain theme, sometimes I want it to match a certain horse or in this case a top: The next thing I do it look at the colours on the top. You can see a brown, green and a very faint purple. So then I just try and duplicate these colours on the rest of my outfit. As you see here: the yellow hat and gloves are the match the background, the green shoes matches the green (even if it isn’t a perfect match) and the jeans are the base for most outfits, but they have a little hint of pink. Now it’s time to choose a horse. I try and choose one that shares the same colours as the outfit. In this case, I chose Lily my Jorvik Pony because she has the same kind of colour as the top and looks very nice in brown. When it came to tack, I decided to bring out the green in the outfit more and then just go back to the light brown. For every outfit there has to be a base colour with ‘side colours’ that just help the outfit out.
Here in the finished thing: Today I was out climbing so it was just a quick glance of the update on the news page. It was my first time climbing and I have my first blister! (I am proud of it, okay?) Today we welcomed 3 new horses to Jorvik and some new clothes to the mall. Out of these three, my favourite is the bay Lipizzan as that is my favourite breed and I really like the softer colours. I am not a fan of the block colour horses but the white fades nicely into grey around the nose and feet and on the black it fades into brown. This gives the horses a less cartoon look. I really like the Sports Horse’s mane as it is a mix of shades so the white almost looks like it is glowing! The normal complaint is the muscles. Look at horses in real life, they do not look like that! This is worst on the lighter Sports. I really did like the clothes! I can see that if you buy them all (plus a brown beanie) you could have any top (although not the brown trousers with the brown top) with any pair of hat and pants! I really and tempted to do that as I love the trouser design and the design of the pink and blue tops. It is just so detailed and such a normal thing to wear. The final thing that happened with Wednesday update was the brand new Star Stable News, hosted by GM Ylva. I enjoyed the way that it was set out like a proper news report, but if you read the bottom you’ll see that nothing on Jorvik can be too serious!
It’s another Friday and this week Star Stable released a fashion market! It is a bit like the Horse Market but it contains clothes instead of horses. Quite a lot of people were getting annoyed about how small the update was but I think people should get used to the fact that at the end of the year the updates get smaller due to the fact that lots of big things are coming out. A new area, story quests and home stables. I think it is quite a cool addition and I really liked the clothes. Also I noticed two girls sitting on the fence and earlier today I was looking through Star Stable comics and I got I little bit inspired… Check out my blog on Friday! Now let's go and look at clothes. Out of all the bits and pieces around I took the red hoodie and the Autumn top home. The red hoodie looked super cute and had good stats and the Autumn top was very cheep. I managed to buy it all with the Jorvik Shillings I had earned with the apple bobbing. I quite liked the update today.
What did you think? We’re headed into the depths of Autumn and the nights are shorter then the days. Some trees are bare and others have bold patches. The first frost has been as we say good bye to the final days of warm… And hello cold. I think you can just tell by the fact that in my blog banner I am wearing this that it’s my favourite item of clothing this month. I love the way that it looks Autumnal and warm without breeching the barrier of being for winter. Therefore, it is perfect for this time of the year. I also like any item of clothing that has multiple parts. Eg, a jacket with a shirt and a scarf underneath, breeches with socks or in this case a base layer with a body warmer. I just think in these seasons it adds an extra feeling of coziness. I was pleasantly surprised when this little cute pumpkin hopped from either the ghost or the apple bobbing (I can’t remember which). I think that it is really cute and it different from the normal spider or Halloween ribbon. Aw just look at it’s cute little face! If you are ever looking around for me, the best chance you have of finding me is at the Vineyard. I can never stay still in game! When the rest of FR are standing at Steve’s I’m running around the vines. This stops me making a fool of myself where everyone is watching! I like to do ‘vine bending’. Which is where you use the vines as poles and I like to jump over the fences, all while chatting to my club. Also the lag isn’t nearly as bad at the Equestrian Centre as it is at Steve’s. Finally, there aren’t as many people there which is good because whenever I do go to Steve’s I get “Li Li” -Friend invite- -Group invite- “Hello Li” and it is just too much! I think this has been the most frustrating quests ever, the birthday quizzes. I, actually, quite enjoyed the idea of doing a quiz for the part of the birthday outfit. I liked the mix in questions as well, as it was everything from horses, history of Jorvik, and even Mrs Holdsworth old job. However, there weren’t any proper new quests this month, which is quite sad as my favourite thing in game is new quests. But, it is a common theory that the new area and new story quests might be one of the same… Pandoria… I love Halloween. I don’t actually celebrate it in real life, so it is always lots of fun to get into the Halloween spirit in game. I love the colours, tastes, smells and the mystery. This has been the best Halloween year as last year they added a lot of the things after Halloween. But this year we got the apples, ghost train, quests, outfits, ghosts and Spider pig (all I can say is going into the dressage arena at the riding hall and look up). I am still in love with my Lipi from last month, so it is only right that she gets mentioned again! I just love the body shape, the colours and the animations of this horse. They are so smooth and graceful and they have even started to make me enjoy riding larger horses as compared to the similar sized English Thoroughbred, they are less ‘jolty’. I hope that Star Stable releases similar horses in the future. Since I have a brand new account to quest on, I have been doing the Moorland Pole bending a lot. I love Western riding and I think it should be used more in the game. I really like the race as I’m lazy and it is short but gives you 125 xp. Also it is more about control and less about the actual speed, which I also really like. Finally, it is in Moorland and if often overlooked by the normal pro racers so novices like me get a chance!
Good evening, I am here doing my late night blogging special once again! Today I thought I would show you my Autumn racing gear. I don’t often high score so when I do I don’t want to have to run to my home stable and rummage until I dig out some clothes with nice stats. So I often ride around in outfits that have full stats and on of them is my Autumn racing outfit which I wanted to share.
Total cost: 141 star coins
I really enjoy sharing things like this and I also want to do more “this is my day” type posts. I think I will do that about once a week, but it will depend on when I’ve had an interesting day. Also don’t expect the normal fanfic tomorrow as the best way to celebrate Halloween is with a spooky story, right? Have you checked out the lifetime shop in Moorland recently? Well, as you can see in the photo below it has a brand new design and also two new items (the saddle and the brown jacket). I think this means that there could be a lot more clothes coming soon. Since I'm a lifetime player, this is good but for some they may find this unfair as we all pay for the game, just we only have to pay once. But my reply is that they should get a lifetime as in the long run it's a lot cheaper then a subscription, and you get loads of extra offers and clothing. I'm very happy with this clothing! Did you know that the saddle is the first tack piece to be 'sold' in the lifetime shop? I've needed a white saddle for ages but they're all so expensive! I'm happy to say that this one costs a grand total of 0 sc. Also the jacket will be really useful for tonight's event, as it looks like a hunting jacket (we're having a hunting event).
I hope that there will be more clothes coming to the shop in future, rather then lots of codes. What are you opinions of the clothing? Its Autumn and its time to abandon those shorts and crop tops for the bennies and cardies for Autumn! In this post I aim to help you with your Autumn outfits this year. Maybe you’re style is different but these are just ideas to be adapted to your taste! Every outfit starts and ends with colours. The classic Autumn colours are (of course) reds, oranges, yellows and browns. But going straight into those colours can mean that by November you are getting very bored. The trick when you’re making outfits to do with seasons is the make the seasons blend into each other. At the start of the season keep the shades light with yellows, oranges and reddy/ browns. In September, you could even out an undertone of blue or pink as a transition from Summer. As you go through the season make the colours darker as the leaves darken. For the riders hat beanies are perfect. At the start a Western hat may be okay, but those ears need protecting from those cold North winds! Moving down the body, for the top start off with cardies and similar things and move into body warmers. Only at the very end of the season should you move into coats. At the start just wear normal gloves (make sure your fingers are covered). Nearing the end, gloves are perfect for the first snow fall! As for trousers, I find that a simple brown pair act as a perfect base, darkening through the season. Finally we move onto boots. Open shoes are naturally a big no but trainers are fine for this month. I don’t have much to say about tack. Just allow it to make your outfit and a saddle pad is an excellent time for an undertone. Flowers and such aren’t great to wear around now as they don’t match the season at all! I hope you liked this post, its a bit different to normal. I’m going to be changing my style a bit and also sorting many bits and pieces out!
What do you wear in Autumn? So last update not a lot happened but a load of new clothing came out. Let's take a look! I really like the first row of clothing and tell me about those boots! The new stuff always coming out is the last word in cool. Let's take a look at the tack. I like this set. I think it would go really well with: the helmet and pants from above, brown boots, black/brown gloves and a black and blue jacket. I love the patterns on the bandages and the saddle. I really want to buy this.
I wish I had enough for both of them, but I'm saving up for other things. I actually really liked these! Many of you will know that the Midsummer treasure hunt takes place every year. I always try to collect as much free clothing as possible from times like this so I did the hunt every day. Consequently I have got a lot of clothing so far! I really like all of this stuff! I really liked the green and peach tops best but I was also a huge fan of the hat. I always think it is worth doing the dailys all the time to get things like this as it would of cost me a lot in Star Coins. I do really like the Jorvik saddle and bridle and I wish I got the saddle pad. But it is random so you may have very different stuff then me.
What did you think of the clothing from the hunt? |
