I'm off to France! I've been working very had on the blog recently, just it's kind of "behind scenes". When I'm done you'll see. I'm so very very excited that I'm going but with all the packing and exams I've haven't had time to schedule many posts, however there will be one on Tuesday, the next chapter in Kitty's tale! Well I should sleep, I'll be back on Saturday. Nightt!

So that's what their surprise was yesterday! Well I must admit it was an unexpected surprise and I love the idea and I know there will be 6 very happy people in the world when they get these prizes. Basically go to the Star Stable instagram @starstableonline and enter the competition to design a horse and write in under 50 words why you should get it. You must tag a friend and they will also get the same prize as you. Of course, the winner will be luck but maybe you'll just be one of the lucky ones that win:
I haven't entered yet, but I of course will! I'm just waiting until I've found my perfect design. I'm liking the second one best at the moment! What are your horse designs like? I went for ones that were basically normal with a twist! I admit though, the amount of spam on my instagram (@li.silentland) at the moment is unreal! Also, did I mention I'm getting YouTube soon?
Well the exams are almost over and it's time for a day of relaxation and fun, so I finally managed to open South Hoof! I'll write another post in detail about my views of the place, but I will say that the large expanse of over land doesn't work for someone as lazy as me, haha. You need to be a level seven star rider to unlock South Hoof. Well we better get to James in Fort Pinta fast! As a paddler I can see that a lighthouse going out is a big problem. If this was real it would be a disaster as people navigate by the number of flashes a lighthouse gives out as well as it keeping them away from rocks. Of course, James isn't worried about this, he's just worried that no one will be coming to Fort Pinta on holiday! Well James, how can I get there? I mean I need to find out what's going on. You bought two boats and ones at the jetty? I'll go and check them out. Well I can't go in that! What happened to the other boat? The guard at Fort Pinta has it? Oh wow. What if we pieced the boats together so we had one full boat between the two? There we are! To South Hoof! Well this look familiar... It looks like the dock at Jarlahiem. Let's see if anyone is here. Hello? Hello? No one, what about that farm. No one there either. Oh who's this? So it turns out that Holly has lost her family. I think we should go to the lighthouse and look and see if we can see anyone there. We better get to them - fast. I'll use my boat and steer it to Cape Sorrow. Here we are, but why are they here? And it looks like Jonas is very cold. I think I should speak to him. I think he has hypothermia as people with hypothermia tend to go quite and say there is nothing wrong, even when you can see there it. We should get him back. Let's see how Jonas is doing. I'll be back tomorrow with the new set of quests!
When we think "online" we think cyberbullies, stalkers ect ect. Why should it be that way? So many people on Star Stable, and Star Stable related media, come on and say things that are unnecessary. For example people will watch a video and then comment something like "well that was a waste of time". Don't watch it if you think it's bad! If you aren't going to say something like "amazing video" and give it a thumbs up, then don't say anything at all. Even giving it and thumbs down is negative, so don't. You'd be surprised how if you like everything that you see because you follow, or are subscribed. And you give a comment on things that are really good, how much it brightens up someones day. It also gets your name out there as a good person, giving you a positive online footprint.
Often there are people out there with amazing talent who just don't get noticed. Maybe you should go and give them a like and a comment too? Just because your friends are aren't following them and they aren't popular, doesn't mean that you don't deserve that like, comment and follow. If you see something you don't like, ignore it. If someone is rude, take a screen shop, ignore them and report them. Just don't involve. I see so much of "I'm leaving sso because of drama", but you don't need to get involved most of the time. So come on people. Help yourselves here. Give yourselves a better online footprint! One exam down, 4 to go! I've been revising French all afternoon and evening, I should start on Spanish now considering that it's half 9, opps. Well today I decided to finally check out the iceberg and buy two seals. I decided to get the ones that look similar and call them Kara and Karos - twins. Karos and Kara lived up far north and their mother headed out to go fishing for them. While she was out the ice cracked, leaving her pups on the other side. Poor Kara and Karos kept each other company as the iceberg followed the currents south. Then hit home on the edge of a small island called Jovik as they nestled together, ready to face death.
I was taking Anna out for a small ride when I saw a large white object. I thought it was a stranded boat and I headed over. As I approached I saw it was an ice float! I started playing in the snow and as I slid down a slope I saw them. The two pups snuggled together. They didn't shy from me as I went in to pick them up. I headed home and wrapped them in warm towels and fed them warm milk. I decided to call them Kara and Karos, knowing I wanted the girls name to end in "a" and the boys in "os". Welcome to the Silentland family pups! After weeks of doing dailys I'm finally admired by Crescent Moon Village! You get 35 xp on Mondays, 85 on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and 75 on all the other days. I think it is very important that I'm admired with as many things as I can as when new quests come out sometimes you have to be admired with things, and people have left the faction because they see no quests at the end of it. Also I have a very important point, I think to get to the new area you will need to be liked by Ricky's faction. I'm glad that I got myself admired with new Hillcrest fast as now those quests with Ricky get points for the Winterwell and not New Hillcrest. So you see, getting as good a reputation as you can is good!
Much to everyone's surprise I decided to run a Western event. Western riding in the game is often just looked over, and people normally do Cross Country, dressage and show jumping, which are all forms of English riding. Like English riding there are many forms of Western. We normally do Pole bending and barrel racing. But I taught everyone some trail and reining. It went very well and we got n event I'd planned for an hour in 45 minutes. First I look everyone around a western trail I'd made. In trail you have to walk, trot and canter, as well as gallop. We had lots of fun doing it, and we had a lot of cheaters (those people who decided to gallop and not trot). But it was all good fun!
We then proceeded onto reining. We weren't making a routine, simply learning the movements. We started by playing a game. I'd say a western movement and they'd all try and guess what it was. Then I'd correct them/ confirm it. Here are some of the movements: Circles - basically you ride your horse around in a circle (no way!), normally in a slow gallop or canter. Rundown - You gallop about 20 meters along the side of the arena. It normally ends in another movement. Sliding stop - First you do a rundown and then you stop your horse and let it skid to a stop. Backup - you need to back the horse up for about 10 meters. Rollback - you need to perform a rundown and bring your horse to a sliding stop, but as you stop you need to turn 180 decrees. Turnarounds - you need to basically just turn around 180 or 360 decrees. Hesitate - pause for X number of seconds. After we went through all these, we finished by me saying a movement and everyone doing that movement! Well trying to. I enjoyed doing a lesson that was a bit different and I hope this will happen more in the future. Well we now know that the area coming out will be called South Hoof Peninsula! They didn't say when it will be released, or how, but they did mention that it would be soon. I really hope it isn't when I'm away! Here is some photos taken from the Star Stable show (you can watch it on Star Stable's youtube). Key points about the new area:
On last weeks Star Stable show, there was a little clip at the end, which I must admit I misted watching the first time through (opps). So not too long ago, SSO told us that they'd be releasing a new area. I wasn't sure where this would be, and presumed it would be Ashlands. But no, it turns out to be the island at the bottom of Epona! I am very excited for this new area and I have a few things that I think it will include... I very much enjoy looking for hidden locations, and here I see that these hidden locations cannot be found in the current Epona. Therefore, I think they must be in the new area. This actually makes sense as it says that Bread Island belongs to the Buttergoods, so their stable might be over there as well. Also, the Buttergoods own the Winterwell stable (I hope we will get it back for Ricky). Maybe once we've unlocked this we'll be about to do our batter over there, and win back the stable! My only worry at the moment, is how will we get over there? The cliffs are steep and there isn't a proper way across the water. I guess SSO will have a way across anyway!
What do you think will be in the new area? Well its those dreaded words - back to school. It's been a nice holiday and I've managed to get a load of revision, kayaking, writing, tidying, and playing Star Stable. I'm a bit excited to have a bit of routine back in my life though. Instead of: Star Stable, Stable Stable and Star Stable! Well in all fairness I have done a tone of revision as I said before. I have my exams starting on the 18th, so another week to revise. Can't promise that much activity here because I need just to get my head down on that French and Math. But I will, of course, still be here. On the 28th of April I have my last exam and then on the 29th of April I'm going to the South of France on a school water spots trip. More then a bit excited! But after that, it's business as normal until half term, where I have a weeks canoeing down the river Spey.
So I better get to bed, I have to be up at 7/ One more thing, anyone heard of the BBC writing competition? Well my story is through to the next round! I won't say anything more about it as they will start to name the stories with irl names if I get any further then this (they'll chose the top 50 and then chose a winner). I'm just excited that I got this far! So there's a tone of irl stuff for you. So I better finish with SSO stuff! I have 5820 rep with Crescent Moon Village, meaning I'll be admired on Wednesday, and I have 5000 rep with DIno Valley Bone hunting, so I'll hopefully be admired with them too soon. After those 2, I'll be admired by all possible! "Ava, you're going to be late to school!" Millie cried. "Come on get out of bed a here put on some of my old uniform, you are small so it will hopefully fit you".
"But I'm only here for a day, uniform?" "Just put it on, honestly." She walked out the room and I headed to the bathroom, washed, dressed into a long white sleeved shirt, a tie, a kilt and a jumper. The colours were silver and black, my black top was embroidered with the words "Epona Academy Senior". I tied my hair back into a french plait, and went downstairs. "Goodness me Ava. You've over slept a bit love. I made you a fruit pot you can eat on your way there." Mrs Syth called. The pot of fruit wan very nice, and I enjoyed eating the summer fruit as I walked to school with James and Millie. They explained that James was in upper seniors and Millie was in lower seniors. I'd be in upper seniors, so I'd have to go with James. The school was above the shops in New Hillcrest. We all placed out bags in the huge cloak rooms and then walked to our class. "Who's this James?" Mr Ashturn asked "A girl from the mainly, coming over for a week" James replied. Mr Ashturn gave him a look and James added "Sir". "She can sit next to Jade". I sat down next to the girl will long brown hair, carefully braided. She looked at me, and looked away: not wanting to engage. The morning slid by, maths and history. I don't believe the tales of there once being soul riders on the island, but I didn't want to make trouble; I was only there for a day! After lunch I had decided to go to Fort Pinta. I got the car to Moorland Stables with Mr Syth and then I started to walk up to Fort Pinta. Fort Pinta was mainly for tourists. There was a beach, and disco. You could get to Jovik City mall and try out horse riding! A few people lived there, and their children went to a small school between the ages 3 - 15 (Jovik ages). I didn't know what to think of Fort Pinta, but I headed to the beach and brought a drink before continuing on the bus to the mall. At the mall I brought: wine for Mr and Mrs Syth, mints for Shelly, candy for Alice, a riding crop for James and a riding voucher for Millie. I bought myself a Jovik flag and a riding helmet, (I'd be continuing riding back at home). I danced my heart out and that was the end of it. I don't wish to write about leaving. I will miss Jovik, but I'm sure I'll be back Also a note to Denise Braveknight. Frosty Roses has space, but your mail box is full. You need to contact myself or Ava Northstar, by mail or if I'm online! (You better be seeing this) Beep- beep. Beep- beep. Another morning on the island and I had a whole day of riding. But it would also be my last day of riding, as tomorrow I would be going to school with Millie in the morning.
Today’s breakfast was homemade granola with yogurt. I ate and changed into some jodhpurs that Millie had lent to me. Today I would be trying out a track. I wore a polo top, and my hair was in a french braid. This made me look like a really rider! After I’d pulled on my hat and boots, I surveyed my reflection in a mirror. “Looking good Ava” Abbie said laughing, “looking like a real rider, huh?” “Go away” I replied, giving her a playful push. She grinned back. We both hurried into the stable. We were expected to tack up our own horses. I put on the saddle (making sure I put it on the neck so it would slide into a nicer place) and I did up the girth. The bridal was already in place, so I mounted up and waited for Lucy. “Okay girls, today we’ll do doing a small track. It is one we use for novices, like you two. Let’s walk through it.” The track wasn’t too bad. We had to jump two jumps from the paddock and then turn left up a hill, jump three jumps along the top there and turn right back into the paddock. Lucy lead us through the stridings and the gaits. Abbie went first. The jumps were small but She couldn’t quite turn up onto the hill clean enough so she went around the first jump up there, but besides that she was better, and then it was my turn. I kicked with my legs until Shelly was in a canter. Jump one, three steps, jump two. Turn turn turn! And jump, stride, stride, jump, stride, stride, jump. Lean forwards, kick - and fall. The fall wasn’t as bad as I thought. My breathe was knocked from me, but I remembered to roll as I hit the ground. I had a bit of pain in my ankle. I stole up, Lucy walked calmly over. “You turned to early and then learnt forwards too much.” She explained. She walked over to Shelly and held her reins tight. “You okay?” “Yeah, I’m fine. Never been better,” She rolled her eyes and told me to mount up. 2 hours of doing the track and both myself and Lucy had each fallen off a total of 4 times - each. We faced the poles of the first jump for the last time. We were going to race. And we were off! If I just let Shelly run she was faster. I pulled her up into the first jump and then let her stride out thrice and pulled her into the second one. I let in a sharp turn, cutting Abbie off. I lent back as we went up the hill, and pulled myself forward into the jumping position, and let her stride for 2, and up, and 2, and up. I let her go forwards for two more and pulled her round. And Abbie was there. She pulled Moco but she didn’t lean forwards! She meant Moco found it harder going down hill and Shelly over took him. And we won! In the afternoon I headed to Moorland Stable. Moorland Stable was a riding stable for the Bobcat girls. Every year they let in 5 riders to join the stable and the top 2 would be allowed to stay. Of course, they did many other things on a daily basis. Today I would be riding to Firgrove. I would explain all the beautiful views along the way but it would take far too long. At Firgrove most people either worked with the sheep, candle/ soap making or in the mine for coal. Most families did all three. The children had school in the mornings, every morning (apart from Wednesday) and then helped in the mines in the afternoon. The adults worked with the sheep or made soap and candles (wax would be sent up from the hives in Moorland and Crescent Moon Village). There was a stable here too, in fact most people dreamed of going to Moorland or Silverglade Equestrian Centre. A girl called Tan - who now as in the Bobcats. Apparently used to come here to ride and many people wanted to be like her. I sighed. Only Fort Pinta (to explore tomorrow) and then I’d explore Moon Village and Jarlaheim on the way home. I picked up some soap for the Syths and headed back on the horse. I felt very tired and got back to the Syths, ate dinner (pie and jelly) and went to sleep. Jovik school tomorrow. Well this is an unexpected update, Silverglade Equestrian center has been given a new look. I'll show you some comparison pictures! I like the way that they've got rid of those big steps at the sides and back of the manor. On the side facing the stable it is simply a wall and at the back there is a mini balcony. It just makes it all seem more realistic. I also liked that instead of three doors leading to the library, there is only one. This I think just gives it a nicer feel. Another thing giving it a nicer feel is the brick house instead of the factory thing. Jovik is certainly a place without factories, and the idea has always been that the islanders live in harmony with nature and it is GED that combats that. It is nice that the designers have bought that into the game and made the Equestrian center look friendlier to nature. However, I wasn't so sure about the new colour of the main buildings. It looks more yellow and actually just looks dirty. Also the front of the house just looks square and boring. I like that it doesn't have the pillars, but surely they could of added that touch of red colour? I'm not too keen on the new things that look like they are holding the wall up. I mean really? But it is nice that sso have updated their graphics a but on things like the bricks. I like the way that they are doing up village and things, but they need to be very careful that they don't lose old Jovik. See more photos below. The final thing of this weeks update was some new denim clothes. I'm not so sure about the tops and dresses, but I quite like the trousers. Not sure why ssso made such a big deal of them though! You can find these in the shops around the fountain at the Equestrian center and in the mall. Once upon a time, if riders couldn't get to clothes, tough. I feel like the mall takes a lot of the newer clothes away from just the higher level players. For example, I bough an outfit made entirely out of new clothes for my level 12 (soon to turn level 13) second account. Surely that should not be possible? So what did we get from this show?
Also there was a little sneak peek at the end of the show. I'll write another post about that!
Pitter-patter. Pitter-patter. The rain streamed down my window. Flash! One, two, three, four, five.. Boom! The storm was quite close but not on top of us. I pulled on my normal jeans, top and hoodie. But I grabbed my raincoat before heading downstairs.
Breakfast was normal. We had granola -homemade by Mrs Syth -, yogurt and wild strawberries. I pulled on my raincoat and headed out into the bucketing rain. Abbie was at the stable, sheltering in the tack room. “Hey” “Hiya” “Nice day right” “Aha yes” I grinned back at Abbie. We mounted up on our horses, hands frozen to the bridle. It was only 3 minutes before Lucy said “lessons cancelled”. I headed back to the house. People on Jovik have Wednesdays of school so they can do their homework and ride. Therefore the kids were home and not doing homework. Millie and James were on their J-Phone and Alice was playing with her figure soul riders. “Shame that the lesson was cancelled,” James called. “You could come to Silverglade with us in a few minutes and ride there?” suggested Millie. “Ermm..okay?” Half an hour later and I was standing at Silverglade Riding Hall again. Only this time I was here to ride. The advanced groups were jumping (these were international level riders) so we went into the dressage arena. Our instructor Tyra set up a small jump for me and a 4 foot one for James and Millie. It was kind of embrassing having people your age and younger being better then you. I enjoyed the lesson with a different instructor and I couldn’t wait to get back to New Hillcrest and tell Abbie all about it. Mrs Syth was getting back into the car with James but Millie asked: “Can Ava stay and I can give her a tour of the Centre, and we can have lunch at the cafe and then walk to the village and do some shopping” “Well.. If you pick my order from the tailor and my cheese from Will. It costs an extra 300 shillings to have it delivered. I suppose all you want is to see the circus?” Mrs Syth said, raising her eye brows. “Err… Well yes but I can show Ava this part of the island?” “Okay okay,” Mrs Syth relented “Here is 6000 shillings for the both of you”. The Equestrian Centre was packed with the children from Silverglade Village. Millie explained that most children rode 2/3 times a week and most would help out in the stable on the same number of nights. Most people here will work in the riding profession in the end so they need to get good at it! After the tour of the stables, we hit the shops. First we headed to the tailor and then to Will, the cheese seller. We looked around all the little shops and in the end I decided to buy a big chocolate bar and a bade with the Jovik flag on. Millie decided to buy some hair ribbons and a bag of candy. We both got some candy floss for the circus. The circus was amazing! I really enjoyed all the acts (mostly involving horses, surprise, surprise) and it was all over too soon. Mr Syth picked us up on the way hone from work and back to the house we went. “Enjoy the circus Ava?” “Yes very much thanks” “Good good” The rest of the time Mr Syth and Millie were chatting about moving Millie to Jovik Stable or Silverglade Equestrian centre. Back at the house Mrs Syth cooked a lovely red peppers stuffed with the cheese from Silverglade. “We get the groceries from Epona because it’s so warm. We’re lucky because we live here so we get fresh fruit that hasn’t traveled. The North Harvest countries and Silverglade give all the wheel to Crescent Moon Village where it is ground up and sent to New Hillcrest and Silverglade Village to be made into bread. The sheep up and around Silverglade produce wool for the only tailor in Jovik and most areas have a cow somewhere, same with hens. Other things like Jor-Cola we get from Jovik City” Mrs Syth explained. After the peppers we had a lovely carrot cake. I went upstairs and brushed my teeth, washed my face, used the necessaries, changed into my pjs and fell into bed. Only 3 nights left. Well I've spent ages trying to get the photos, but in the end I decided I just wanted to type and write about some of my favorites this month.
So when it comes to clothes I've been loving the new stuff in the mall. Just the new feel to it all I think is lovely. I think Star Stable have really upped their game here, releasing clothing and tack that also fits with the season and goes into nice sets that don't look horrid together. I have a lot of trouble with my hair and makeup in game. But I think I've found something that's me and I like. In real life, I wear my hair in a ponytail for school. Yes I know it's kind of simple but the fact it keeps my hair out of my face and doesn't take long. So when I found this ponytail in West Cape, I fell in love and had to buy it. For my makeup I'm still with one of the makeups they give you at base game, but honestly I like them the best. I find the others too heavy. This month I've been loving hang out at the Winery. My home stable is there and myself and my bae's favorite races (Observatory and Vineyard). Also it is close to Steve's Farm (the center of Frosty Rose's club activity) but not actually there as the lag there is bad. The whole area is in global chat. I love to jump around the fields while chatting to FR and I just to really have fun. Also this month I've been doing most of my dailys everyday. This gets me lots of js (about 3000) for clothes. So a week I can normally buy myself a new set of tack and then on Saturday some new leg-wraps. Thus, over 2-3 weeks I can have a whole new outfit. Good right? Well that is what I've been liking this March. Going to London tomorrow so I'm not sure if I'll have to blog the update. I'm planning to get back before the rush hour. Night ♥️♥️ I woke and stretched. My second morning on the island, and so much to do! Today I planned to of course go riding but secondly visit the town of West Cape and the woods and things around there.
After breakfast I headed down to the stable. I checked in with my instructor Lucy and headed to the small shed to collect my boots and helmet (I borrow them). Another girl was in there, black haired and freckled. “Hallo” she called. “Hi” I replied. “You must be Ava? I’m having a lesson with you. I’m on this exchange culture thing too!” “Ah, hi! Who you staying with?” “Isabel Stonefield, and her younger sister Jone. Yesterday I went to school with Jone but I’ve done a bit of riding before so I think I’ll be able to catch up.” “Not a long way to catch up with me. I’ve only really done trot and walk”. “We’ll be the same level then!” When we mounted up, Abbie -the black haired girl- was clearly much better then me. She sat tall and proud on her horse and kicked it on with ease. Today we practised our sitting trot and just at the end of the lesson tried a canter. Abbie seemed to not like canter, but I loved it. It was smooth and just all round nicer then the bumpy trot. When our lesson had finished, we headed up to the bakery and brought 2 cheese, and two chocolate, twists. We sat in the shade of a tree that led down the bank to the stream. I asked Abbie if she had anything planned for the afternoon and she admitted that she did not. I suggested that we called a taxi and headed to Jarlaheim. From there we could get the ferry to West Cape, explore the village and then walk up past the woods. We could walk to the riding hall in time for a mini dressage competition. Another walk to Inn by the bridge, dinner there and then a taxi back to new Hillcrest. She agreed. After a rough ferry crossing we explored the village shops. I loved the houses and I thought to myself “one day I’ll live here”. The children here were running around helping the catch come in. Almost all the adults were also there. A large hut read “fishing hut and school”. No wonder the children here were so used to fish! Abbie, who was from the South, suggested a paddle. We found a small beach, but it was so chilly! We walked on to the woods. I could see why it was called Golden leaves woods. It was bathed in a golden light. Then I check my watch. 3pm! Hurried, we ran to Silverglade Riding Hall. In the end the Bobcat girls won. I knew I wanted to be a dressage rider. They were so graceful on their horses. I managed to get Loretta’s autograph. A long walk to the Inn by the Bridge and we were greeted by Ed. The food was wonderful! I sent a message to Mr Syth and he drove his car from Moorland to collect myself and Abbie on the way home. Jumping tomorrow! The sunlight streamed through my window. it was 6 am on Jovik and the town of New Hillcrest was waking up. I could hear Mrs Syth waking James, Millie and Alice up. Mr Syth must be cooking breakfast as I could smell pancakes. I got ready (just legging, a top, underclothes and a hoodie) and horrid down stairs. “Morning” he said over the top of his Jovik Gazette, he had a pancake on a plate and was sipping coffee. “Pancakes and coffee are on the table, do you take cream?” “Black” I replied. “Okay then, the kids will be up in a bit, I’ll get James and Millie to show you the stable before they head to school” “Thanks” I sat down and munched on my pancakes and coffee. We never had pancakes, or coffee, for breakfast at home, it was a nice surprise. James and Millie were down stairs in the nextt 5 minutes, dressed in their black uniform embroidered with “Epona Academy Senior”. After breakfast they showed me to the stable. I would be riding a horse called Shelly this week. She was quite tall and had a glossy light brown coat, I was in love! It was quite scary the first time I rode her, but I soon got used to her. We were outside in the paddock and by lunch time I’d gone into a trot, but we’d mainly been practising diagonals. After a picnic lunch (vegetables with a dip and more Jor-Cola). I decided to go sight seeing. Apparently there are several things to see and do around Jovik. Mrs Syth had given me a book of “5 afternoons of fun around Jovik”. So basically it looked like I’d be riding in the mornings and sightseeing in the afternoons. The first chapter spoke about Valedale, a walk through the woods, Valedale history museum and a beautiful lake. Mr Syth explained that in the afternoons he worked at Moorland as a manager for the Bobcat Girls (something the local race team hated). He drove me up and dropped me at Valedale. I thanked him and decided to take a circular tour of the woods. It was truly beautiful. The dark green trees and the singing birds.I let out a sigh of content before heading back to the village. Some children were swimming in the stream. Playing under the bridge; floating down the river. The older children - my age- sat on a rock and let the waterfall water tickle their toes. I could see the clothing wasn’t a big thing here. Both boys and girls wore tunics that tied up at the top. It looked like all the children were in the water, about 50 of them, a whole town. “The people of Valedale mainly work in the forests. Harvesting natural goods and catching fish in the river. There is a small school which all children between 3 and 15 must attend.” I looked around the museum. It told of 5 girls who had saved Jovik many a time. Actually I found it quite interesting. I headed outside and made my way to the lake. A small shop there sold me some smoked fish and cheese which I ate happily by the water side. I loved Valedale! I got a taxi back to New Hillcrest and fell into bed. The first of many long days! Okay new quests in Epona, let's go! Of course I can! Okay so where is she? She went to Crescent Moon Village to get some Jovikroot? So she will be around Mirror Marshes. I'll go look for her! Oh no, poor Isabel! I better get this cart turned up again and get Isabel out. There we are. Now Isabel, what happened? Oh god. All's well that ends well I guess. Come on let's get you home. Now that you're home we better find your horse. Where do you think he is? Just outside New Hillcrest? Okay I'll go and look. Oh no a Buttergood has him. I can still get him back, let's see what he wants us to do.. Okay so thanks for the horse. Let's get back to Isabel, and make sure we tell her friend she's okay. But Isabel, who do you think the thief was? Lisa?! Well I better go and speak to her. It turns out Thomas fell into Pi's swap and drank the water, making him very ill and angry. So he's gone so he doesn't hurt Lisa or his son. But poor Lisa owns a horse who hasn't been looked after because of it. I'll look after the horse. So where do you think he his? A bunker in Western Epona? I'll go and look, and give him the family photo. Wow, look at this place, better talk to Thomas. Poor Thomas, he isn't looking too good. What if I went and got him some food. Crescent Moon has a greengrocer? I'll go pick them up. Wait again until the new day. I'll give them to Thomas. Oh no he can't control himself. I better get out! I better tell Lisa all about it. What a dramatic end to the quests! I can't wait for them to come again, also I want to find out what happens with Ricky and his competition! Expect another post tonight on my monthly faves, writing it now. What did you think of the post earlier today? There will be on a 6pm every night until Saturday, where you'll follow her journey around Jovik. I was thinking, I haven't given her a name. So I've settled with Ava, after my bae, Ava Northstar.
After a busy day of packing the day of traveling has finally arrived! I can't believe I was given Jovik to explore while my best friend - Lily - was given the UK. I feel so good about being able to spend my week of riding here. The ferry was long and seas were quite rough. I felt very sick and had to remind myself that I had another ferry and a long drive before I got to the house of my host family. After the boat had docked at West Cape I collected up my luggage and jumped into the little rowing boat that would take myself and 4 others to the shore.
On the ferry was a girl called Tan, she was the co owner of one of the biggest race teams on Jovik. She told me all about New Hillcrest, the place I'd be staying. We docked at the edge of the long jetty. Ewa told me that to the left was the stables were she worked and to the right was the main village, I could get a cup of coffee before my ferry arrived in half an hour. Tan hurried off as the ferry to Fort Pinta, where ever that is, was going almost straight away. I found the small café and ordered a sandwich and a cup of coffee - black. I sat there, looking out to sea and watching the fishing boats coming in. As I glanced down at my watch I noticed that I oly had a few minutes before the ferry would leave. I hurried on to it. Jovik's ferry system seemed quite small. It was a little boat with a small deck for those on foot and a larger deck for those in cars or on horses. We arrived at Jarlahiem. Wow, it is impressive. It's like a city but it is all inside this huge outside wall. It was now around 6pm so I grabbed myself a bite to eat - Jorcola and some soup before calling a taxi to take me to New Hillcrest. The taxi driver pointed out several sights along the way, Goldspere farm, run by a local family, Storm Garden - large beautiful gardens and fields, Crescent Moon Village - a small village with Ivy covered houses, and finally he pointed out New Hillcrest. He dropped me in the town center and I walked down the lane, pulling my luggage with me. Number 6. I knocked and the door opened revealing a girl - about my age. "Hi", she said, "I'm Millie, I'm your exchange partner". "Oh hi" I replied. "I live here with my dad, mum, older brother James and little sister, who's 2, Alice. While you're here you need to learn a new activity, and as here on Jovik everyone rides, you'll be learning riding! Also on Friday you'll be coming into school with me. The afternoons are for you to explore Jovik. You're bedroom is upstairs second door on the left" "Gee, thanks! See you tomorrow". It was only a small exchange but I was tired. I opened the door to the little guest room and fell swiftly asleep. It's been a long day of revising, swimming and questing. So I can't take the photos and things like that, I really just need to fall into bed. I've been feeling faint all day, basically not 100%. I have the first post of my project being posted tomorrow, and one everyday after that until Saturday - at 6pm. Enjoy and night.
