Spoilers from latest story quests Hey! I thought I'd blog about what I got up to today. It's now quite late and I'm getting tired (picture me half asleep on the sofa in a Harry Potter "I solemnly swear I'm up to go good" t-shirt). Today was probably one of the most active days on SSO in months which certainly meant it was time to get screenshotting and show the blog my day. First I finally completed the latest story quests. They were really good and I hope that next time we'll find Anne! They were really well animated but I wish the circus didn't have to turn sinister, it was really nice just having a circus. I think the awesome animations were worth it though! I used to be so good at keeping on top of training, but I'm not now as I'm playing very little. So I decided to hit the track and give my morgan some training. At the same time, I recorded a little video for YouTube. I'm not sure if I'll edit it or not because I don't know if anyone will want to listen to me muttering away, but we shall see! Over the past 2 months, it has been my project to recreate my blog. Today was finally the time to get some photos for the recreation. I hope that you will see my new look on here in the coming days. I'm not quite happy with how it's looking but I think it'll get there in the end. It was certainly time to celebrate the new Jorvik Ponies with some friends! We all met together to do a little Jorvik Pony photo shoot for Instagram. Here are some of the shots we took: As you can see I have played around with the contrast and brightness a bit and I'm not sure if I like it. Credit to Elizabeth Ponyson for the first photo because mine didn't come out well! Then, this happened... Honestly, because it's only a warning I don't care. I've been warned twice in the past two days for saying nothing bad (and I know what I said each time). First time, was saying 'dam' as in the object that holds back water. The second time was for saying the phrase "you annoying" which wasn't meant in a rude way and isn't a bad thing to say either. SSO are giving warnings for things that don't even break their terms and conditions which really gets on my nerves.
Finally, it was time for a Moon Explorer's open event.

I've spent a lovely evening climbing with FR. It was great, I had a lot of fun! We Skyped and climbed so here are just some photos from our evening really. I have a lightly stressful day tomorrow so I don't feel like writing much as I'm in a very strange mood so if I do start writing lots, it'll get really weird. We just jumped on fox island, climbed at Forgotten Fields and then climbed up to the tower in Jarlaheim. I love my club so much and I haven't spent an evening like this in too long, I must do it more. Enjoy some photos from the evening!
I haven’t done a day in the life of Li for a while and it’s probably because I don’t come on for long periods of time to do nothing worth writing about. But today I was on for a little longer. When I first logged on, I wanted to go climbing so I headed to GHV climb. However, about half way through I remember that I had horse market quests so I called for a pick up to get them done before Wednesday. Once I’d done them, I decided to do Newb Hideout climb at **location classified**. I was going to do it alone but then I decided to be a good owner and invite FR along. After a lot of waiting for everyone to get up, we made it. Messing around with my club is my favourite thing to do in the game and thanks lads for an amazing evening - night!
I haven't done a day in the life for a while but I thought I would today. I didn't really do a lot because when I got home I went to sleep due to the fact that my head was killing. But, since that painful moment I have managed to wake up and I needed something to do. I logged online and began to mess around with FR, first on chat and then we went climbing. We started off by climbing to Newb Hideout (I can't show you the route because it's to stay secret in the club) but here's a photo of us all there. Then we did the Devil's Gap climb and on the way I finally waded through the mail. I get so much of it that it is tiring to answer it all, and answer it all with the me that everyone deserves rather than the grumpy me so that's why it takes to long to get a reply. I love the Devil's Gap climb, it's possibly my favourite in game. After talking for a bit longer, I logged off and then (after some YouTube) wrote this blog and now I'm going off to bed. Night guys!
I know, I know, another "A day in the life" but I enjoy doing these posts and apparently people enjoy reading them, so it's staying. My morning started with a few weird dreams, eating breakfast and logging onto my account to add someone back to FR (someone logged onto their account and left the club for them). Then I logged onto the account that I quest on for a friend and did some quests and races. I then logged onto my own account to do some chores. I love doing chores as they are quick but give you a lot of Jorvik Shillings. Next, I decided to join FR in a secret place that the Frosties call "Newb Hideout" (you have to climb and then go through a pile of rocks and drop off a cliff to get there). I decided to try a bit of exploring and find somewhere new to climb. In the end I found a place on the edge of the Cauldron. It wasn't much of a climb but there were so many places I've never seen before plus a great view. Recently, I've been using one of my older alts to high score and do championships. It's easier than with my main as people aren't constantly going "Well done Li" really patronizingly at champs when I came 10th and I'm not ignoring club chat when I'm high scoring. So i did Valedale today. I still don't know the shortcuts but I somehow came third! (I blurred the names so I can keep my account private.) It was time for a good old classic "Li is ultra late for her own event) move as I ran to get to SF in time for my event. I made it though! In my event, people had 15 tasks around the island to complete like "doing New Hillcrest race" and things like that. The last task was to climb up to above Guardian's Dale and here are the squad who made it to the end - notice the before and after. Finally, I called for a pick up and chilled on the hay bale plus added a new member. Awesome day and good night! (Pssst, fan fiction tomorrow.)
I think it's high time to do another day in the life of me, so here goes. I spent my afternoon watching an episode of Met police, YouTube plus a bit of chatting with FR. I then spent some time outside before logging on for the event. The event was "Find Sharkie" - found her! Next, i got to do one of my favourite things as an owner, adding new members. So a massive Frostie welcome to Ellie - it's great to finally have you in FR! Then some people went climbing and I joined. When I got back the news on the general election finally had kicked off so I'm currently sitting here writing this with the news shouting away in the background. I'm about to log on and do my dailies as I've just finished up my blog posts (I have multiple blogs). I'm planning to then post on Instagram before going to bed and getting some sleep (it's an important thing to do). See you tomorrow, planning to upload fan fiction!
(If you enjoy reading about club events click here) Today I logged on around 6:45 because I was writing my fan fiction - Dawnlight - and I got trapped in a book (Bodyguard by Chris Brandford). When I came on, I had plans just to mill about a bit but in the end I decided to do some climbing with the Frosties as i remembered a place behind Pi's that I haven't climbed on for ages. So we gathered and went to climb there! I then called for a pick up and checked my mail (along with a bit of calendar updating). My screen went a little bit weird when I tried to add shading to the game though... Since I am always spending Jorvik Shillings on clothes and picnics and trailers, I thought that it was time to earn some so I headed out and did lots of stable chores around the game and, actually, earned a lot of money! Finally, I realized that I still haven't done the horse market quests so I did those and that was it! I logged off and read and watched YouTube before writing this and going to bed. Night!
Hello! Some people wanted me to upload a fan fiction today but the whole series isn’t planned out enough yet for that so I can’t but I will start uploading twice a week from next Friday. Anyway, today some friends and I found a way up behind Goldspur’s farm. You can get up from the Greydew Pass and before anyone presumes, no it is not glitching. We climbed up there without the game saying we were out of bounds, so we weren’t! Well, first there was an ultra nice view from the top of Jorvik, Goldspurs and Forgotten Fields. But then I noticed that you could see Devil’s Gap. It’s just this big mass of black, so that’s there that’s so dangerous that it is kept locked by Gavin. I want to know so badly and I hope that it’ll be our mini area this year. Grr! I just want to know so much! What do you think could be there?
So, as I said, it was my birthday yesterday and of course, people being ultra sweet I got loads and loads and loads of birthday wishes. So many people wrote posts (although I didn’t actually take screenshots of a lot), I was on peoples stories, people Whatsapped, dmed, messaged me in game, mailed me - the lot. I was eve taken by surprise when Caitlin Lightlake took me to Apple Grove for me to find a line of FR screening happy birthday! We then went to the ice cream place and they all did acts for me. Everything from a speech about sausages, to a poem, to dance offs and even to songs. It was just amazing and it made me smile so much. It’s unbelievable the love in this community and I was so happy to be a part of FR and of course all of those people who wished me Happy Birthday from outside FR. It’s lucky that such a community exists and I am so grateful to be a part of it!
I’m going to make a gallery of all of the stuff that people said to me for my own memories because every mail, post and birthday wish was previous but before that, here is a poem written by Ruby Riverbell: There once was a newb named Lisa, Destined to own FR, These crazy bunch of idiots, Must have left her scarred, One day this girl called Lisa, Said her nick was gonna be Li, Everyone hated spamming that, So instead they just said " hi ", When it was FR's 2 years, Li was absolutely great, At organising everyone, And she wasn't late And she wasn't Now it's Lisa's birthday , And everyone celebrates, We all need to make sure, To get her the right size cake, Now we all love Li, even though she's a newb, We have one final song to sing, And you should all know it too, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to The Newb, Happy birthday to you 💞💞! Hello, wow it’s past midnight… When did it get so late? Just pretend that this was posted on the 9th of April. Sorry for no post yesterday, well I guess two days ago now, but I was helping out with kayaking and then some friends and I started messing around in cold water with a SUP board… It was amazing although tiring! Also quick update on the fan fiction, it will be coming out every Sunday as normal and I will start writing/ developing plot lines this week. But now it’s time for a day in the life of me! Well my day started with some lazy studying and things - mostly French (Il est facile de faire des recherches pour mes et ses devoirs). And then around 12 I logged on to add two old members back! One left on Tuesday due to stress and the other left on the 14th February. For people who are wondering, everyone makes mistakes so in FR people get a chance to rejoin after leaving. Sometimes people everyone get a third and a forth chance but it depends on how close to the family you are and the situation! After adding them, I chilled with Cait over the ML mine with a beautiful view of ML - where it all started. Then, I found a way to get up the hill opposite the castle. It was an event better view and up there I was joined by quite a few fabulous members. Next, I popped onto an alt to do some quests. I forgot how amazing these quests are so I wanted to save the photos as memories! The two people who joined early afternoon, were followed by two more people in the evening. These were also rejoining members, why we had 4 in a day and how we had space for all four I will never know. (Well that’s a lie, we had two spaces from Tuesday and then two people sadly left today (it’s been a really big leaving week - no idea why).) So welcome back to Lilah Applewood and Bella Longsmith (both are ex leaders). And I finally cooled off by standing at ML paddock, contemplating life!
Ok random day in my life video in coming! Well I’ll start off with what happened in my real life before I progress onto what happened in game. So it all started this morning helping out with the start course at my kayaking club. There were so many little ones to help with and they were so sweet! In the afternoon, I did some SUP boarding with two mates before we jumped off the jetty into the 12 degrees water... IT WAS AWESOME! I thought that one of our coaches was going to tell us off for something but he actually told us to jump off the 1m high jetty - even more awesome!!! On the way home, we stopped off at a friends house. We did some archery there (I did decently and got the red which was ok for my first proper go). My Dad and my friends Dad were laughing at us failing to shoot a water balloon so we made them have a go. My Dad has never tried it before and well... he had enough power... enough power to send the arrow through the trees, through the hedge and onto the road! However, my friends dad hit the water balloon first time… Then I logged online. Both of my sisters have started playing Star Stable again so it’s them on those accounts, not me. Anyways, the Frosties and I decided to stalk them (like everyone good older sister should). We chased them around a bit and then “sat” down with them at a cafe. This is why I love FR, honestly… We ended the day having some very strange conversations. What if Harry Potter was a lizard, not a wizard, and he went to lizard school where he found out his parents were lizards? Oh wow that would be amazing. Rose still wants to con her way up to leader so just tried to dare me into ranking her up. Not happening Rose, not happening.
Hello! On Monday, I decided that I wanted to finally try to conquer the mountain in Dino Valley. I've only ever made it part way up before so I was ready to show that mountain what I'm made of! We (some Frosties and me) started by doing the fog glitch. We ran to Dino Valley to remove the fog. Then, we hacked to the place where you start climbing. I wasn't the fastest but I wasn't the slowest and I finally managed to get up to here. The next bit is really hard. You can see Pou here doing it and you have to run and jump up a slope. You have to get it exactly right else you don't make it and fall. I was close to giving up but I finally made it as the third one up! The next bit took me some trying as well. At this stage there were Frosties at all levels of the mountain so I wasn't at the back but out of the group of people who were at the front, I was last up. I, however, made up for it by getting the next 2 moves first try and the 3rd 2nd try. (Very proud.) And so I finally reached the top! The Frosties and I then went down to a flatter area for a photo. I then went to explore the rest of the mountain. Or at least I tried, SSO had other ideas...
I had the most amazing day with the club today. I mean it! We just had a laugh, lots of fun and got to be us. So think of this as a cross between some of the amazing things FR does as well as a bit of a day in the life of a Frostie. Around lunch time I got into a call with Leah (who isn't in the photo below), Louisa and Ellie. We had a bit of a random chat about life while doing the friendship race for hearts which we exchanged for clothes and tack. I then came off line for a few hours to study and fix my blog for Spring (what do you think). Around 6pm I logged back on to add two people to the club. As is becoming traditional, we met at SGEC where I took a photo prior to joining. Lots of Frosties had been wanting them to join for a while, so the second the photos were done and Willow and Sav had joined them came over and had a welcome party, lots of rearing of course! It was then time for the event (more detail will be on FR website tomorrow). After the event we went climbing which quickly turned into hopping around GED. Or rather hopping ONTO the crates at GED! Lauren didn't quite understand the on bit and quickly fell off again, as shown below! I then went to hide behind a digger (we were in a Skype call this whole time). I told them that the first person to find me would get leader for the evening. Lilian found me first and so she got her wish. Lots of people then started hinting that they wanted to sit in the chair as well. So I just promoted everyone and let then mess around in the club hall with the leader things. Lots of people were also (jokingly) ranked down and removed throughout the evening. However, it all got a bit wild so I went to a nice quite hill to sort of the ranks and breathe! In FR you're never alone for long and Priscilla and Ellie came to join me on Hillard the hill. The chat started to slow and we spoke about relationships (much giggling on Skype) before I logged off for the evening at about 9pm. So that's why i love FR, it's just a place where a crazy group of friends can be together and chill and make each other feel awesome.
I woke up this morning far too late (10:30). When I was finally in some state of consciousness I went downstairs to turn the heating on before having a healthy breakfast of waffles and Nutella! After this I logged on and started training. I used to power train all my horses up to level 15 in five days but now I like to slow it down and speak to the club while I train Parhe. Today I got him up to level 12 which is good. I'm going away this weekend but with a level a day I hope he'll be maxed by next Wednesday! I then made myself a smoked cheese toasty and a nutella toasty. While I waited for these to cook, I prepared tomorrows blog post for when I was away. I ate my toasties (they were amazing) before watching some Twilight (I love both the books and the films - highly recommended). I also practiced my lines and cues so that I'd be off script (when an actor knows all of their lines) for all the scenes that we'd done. Before I had to leave for my acting stuff I took some photos for Instagram that I could post on my story and my normal posts when I was away (follow @lisilentland, shameless self promotion). When I had lots taken I left for drama class before getting home and talking to some people online that I haven't spoken to in ages. Finally, I wrote this post and I'm about to pack my bag for tomorrow. I'll be back Sunday evening!
I’ve had an amazing day! I haven’t done a lot on SSO (although I did sneak on for a bit) so I thought I’d do something similar to yesterday and just talk about my day.
I was woken up at the unruly hour of 8:20 by my sisters. However, after telling them not very politely to go away I managed to get another hours sleep before I delved into my stocking. It was the normal (but truly amazing) presents from Mum and Dad, or so i thought until I felt a prick in my hand. My parents had put a pineapple in my stocking! After a big breakfast of cereal, coffee, grapefruits and those French things that I can’t spell. I then dressed before the rather stressful present opening! I am very thankful towards all of the people who got me something this Christmas! I love each and every thing so much. One of the things I got was a Control for the Apple TV. My sisters and I then played a car game with it, much laughter and fun game with that! Another amazing present was 2000 star coins from my sisters. I put this onto my account today and with I brought a long wanted Andy. So welcome to my home stable Royaltorch aka Tora! Today in Frosty Roses we had our St. Lucia event! St. Lucia is a festival which is celebrated in many countries including Sweden, which is why we celebrated it today. Everyone voted for our Lucia who was Elizabeth Eveningnight and then dressed up in various outfits, from candle holders to Santas to Gingerbread men
We did a parade. However, I want to talk to you about the SSO community. Normally in events we had people joining in but today some people did and we didn’t mind. They walked around the city with us sensibly and just were doing it to have fun. Then, at the end we went to the Ice Cream place where we were ‘served’ by some happy ‘waitresses’! I love this about the Star Stable community that you don’t even have to talk to some to (for example) engage in a rear off. It’s a unique thing to here and I’m happy to be a part of it. But more importantly, 13 days until Christmas! It’s been a good non productive day! In the morning I tried out fencing. Honestly, because I was new, the person I was fencing was clearly not trying which was kind of dull. When I got home, I felt like doing something on my second account. So I logged on and did some quests and training! Next I got to watch the amazing video of the new Mustang! I love their buck and I am pretty sure I will be buying one. Then it was time to do some Frosty Roses website cultivating before logging on for the lesson. I was running it and I’m not a Cross Country rider but I think it went okay considering I didn’t really have a clue what I was doing! Then it was time for the event, which I filmed rather then joining in. It was are to get Lily out of the Home Stable. Finally, I was able to edit up the video of the event and upload it to YouTube: |
