Yay, more late night blog writing, who could want more? I really liked the previous three remakes of the Jorvik pony, so I was quite excited to look at the new ones and I got a really nice surprise! I'll talk about each of them individually in a minute but first I thought I'd talk about them more generally. I really like how SSO is moving away from the plastic look. Although it's still slightly, in some places, a little bit too plasticy, it is a lot better and I really like the new look! Plus, I think that the ponies in general are super sweet. Ok, let's look at each one in detail. This one has got the common nickname of the 'leopard'. I see why. I really like the irregularity of the spots and I love the little pattern around the face. The face itself is really really nice. The mane is really cool in the way that it 'belongs' to the body, rather than feeling it was just stuck on there. I feel a few more streaks of brown would just add a little more to the pony. Also, I think a little more going on with the legs would be great too. The hind ones look particularly plain. I don't mean that there has to be anything on them, just a bit more texture. Overall, I think quite a sweet little pony Aw, this one is definitely my favourite - look at the eyes! I love the 'cow' pattern, especially how the grey patches have a lot of texture. I think that the white on this pony could do with some texture as well though, it looks quite plane at the moment. The face is nice and the mane and tail are simple, but they work with the horse. I feel the legs here could do with something more, particularly the way the black changes to white on the front right one, it is a very sudden change and the black on that leg doesn't match the rest of the horse. However, I thing I love most about this horse (and I'm sorry to have to go with the crowd here) but the heart is so sweet. I love how it's clearly a heart but at the same time still looks natural, like this pony was born with it rather than it was designed! This one really reminds me of my Icelandic pony. I really like everything about this pony. I think, on the design front, it is the best (but it isn't my favourite, as my favourite was the previous one). I love the texture on the coat and the face is to die for. The legs are so much better than the other two and they look much more finished, blended and like they match the horse (a tiny bit more work could be done though). The mane and tail is the best part of this horse. They're just very textured, detailed and feel very low-key, like they belong there. Finally, I love the little white stripe just above the back right hoof. It just makes the pony feel more real and is really sweet. So I think a really successful breed, just a little more work needed on the legs! I feel I should mention that the reviews I do of the horses are my opinion and everyone has their own. I'm sure that people at SSO have worked hard on these but ultimately, I see them as a product (considering the star coins cost really money) that SSO have released and therefore will review them as one. I've seen a lot of people getting crazy on IG about various things related to this topic so I just wanted to make it clear that I think everyone should be able to (respectfully) review products released into the game.
Oh dear, that's enough seriousness for now, it doesn't really suit me. Ok, time for me to press that big shiney orange post button, see you tomorrow (yes, I have a post already planned)!

I remember reading about 3 years ago (or possibly even more) a blog post by Alice Starnight talking about how much she wanted the remake of the Jorvik pony to come to the game. She spoke about how cool it would be for ponies to be able to feed off the grass (at that point, it was a new feature for horses to bend their necks down). Anyway, I just thought I'd give it that bit of context about how I felt when SSO announced this - it was a nice little flash back! Ok, let's get onto the three horses. I really liked this pony with one exception. The mane is so lovely and textured and so is the cote. I love the legs and the nose is so so so sweet. However, for me, there's something off about the lack of colour in the face. It's just something that isn't my style but I know some horses in real life have faces like that, and the white isn't blocky (it's fairly textured), so I think that this horse was a really good job! The face of this one is so sweet. I love how the blaze (is that what you call it?) doesn't just break off. It trails down the face in a really nice pattern. I also love the nose and the texture in the mane. In fact, I love the whole face. However, I think the body is too 'samey' and that ruins it for me a bit. So this was the one that was designed via an Instagram poll in the star stable live stream. Only one of the things that I voted for won, which was the leg markings. I was really worried that the face would look bad but I think that it actually matches this pony and the broken coloured pattern really well. I think that the mane is especially nice. I love how the face markings are irregular and how the colour on the nose fades into pink. Interestingly, I don't really like the legs even though I voted for them. I think the white starts too suddenly and almost looks plasticy. However, the rest of the horse is really well textured. Weird legs or not, I decided to bring this little pony home and call it Vanillacookie, or Vani for short! I was really impressed with these pony designs overall. I think that, mostly, they were not too plasticy and were nice and textures. I really feel like we're starting to get nicely texture horses again. The ponies are also really chubby and cute - which I love! I don't like the fact they've been named "Jorvik Starter Ponies". I think that the "starter" makes it seem like the pony isn't very good when they're really cute. They're also really affordable.
Cheers for reading ~ Li Wondering what the update will be. Well, here's a 'little' hint... So, what is a Lusitano. It's a horse which is closely related to the Spanish Andalusian and is often used in classical dressage. This would explain the theory that this horse will come with a brand new gait to be used in dressage - wouldn't that be awesome! It currently looks like it's coming in white and chestnut, but there will also be a third colour that will be a surprise. I think the horse is ok but I'm not feeling "wow". I do like the mane quite a lot but besides that I think it looks clumpy. I will have to wait to see it in game!
I think that this is probably the most hated on update this year after chat banning (which is weird because I don't think it's too bad). So without further a do, let's head into the update. So firstly, Jojo Siwa, an American singer and dancer (google her if you want to know more, because I'm not the person to tell you) will be doing the debut of her new song next week at the disco in Fort Pinta. In preparation, each day you can find 7 JoJo bows hidden around game and swap them for clothes. Don't worry if you miss a day because the bows will stay along with the bows for the new day! There is also a shop which currently sells 5 t-shirts which each cost 1sc or 10js - a very good deal. Now, where's the problem with this person coming to SSO? Well, SSO are yet to understand that most of their players are between about 11 - 16. Jojo is more for 6 year olds (she's the rainbows and unicorns type of person). Therefore, most of the SSO audience is not within Jojo's market and this is why she had got such a negative response for coming to the game. Although I do not like her, I have got some free/ cheap items from her coming and I can always not go to the disco. I think SSO made a mistake in adding her, but she's here now so you might as well try and make of the mot of it. Also, SSO have brought back the fashion market for a week - yay! I love the fashion market, but I was sad to notice that they only added some bridles. I think they could have added much more considering the market has been gone for months. Although some of the bridles are very cheap, I think that 119sc is way too much for a bridle. However, others are around just 25sc - which is quite a good value. You can pick up four new bridles for 100 sc which is an amazing deal. They are all western which doesn't tend to be to my taste, but they're still quite nice. My favourite is the "lake western bridle" at the bottom. They also released 3 morgans, which are already in the game. The morgans still cost their normal price but they game with free tack, namely a free bridle, saddle, saddle pad, saddle bag and leg wraps. I thought that this was a great deal and so I welcomed my new horse home. Welcome Holl aka Minihollow! The final part of the update was 20 new stars have been added to the game (I will make a video about finding them soon). I love finding stars so I think that this is a great thing. It's nice that star stable haven't given up on them and have been adding loads more recently. There was also a new way of viewing the stars that you have found which I thought was pretty neat: I filmed all of this, plus a bit more, on my YouTube channel. So please like and subscribe (totally not self promo). I actually think it was a good update, not the end of the world like some people were making out! We have a lot of good deals and cool stuff, even if I don't like Jojo Siwa.
Are you happy that Jojo Siwa is coming to Jorvik? Wow, a pretty big update this week! I was very excited to get home and play through it. It was about time that we got Herman quests so I'm really happy that he's now rescued. I will be blogging about these quests in more detail but it takes a very long time to get that together and I'm just scraping together enough time to write anything at all. As well as the new quests, we got three new horses added to the game - North Swedish horses. Last time, I really liked these horses so I was excited to be able to see some more of them. I just think they're the best that SSO has made recently and the texturing is so beautiful. There was one at Valedale and two at Firgrove, so I nipped around between those two places (doing a bit of training on the way) to look at the horses and here is what I think about them (bear in mind that I love the breed in general). This one is very similar to one of the horses before, just without the speckles. Like it's twin previously, I am not so keen on the face due to 'clumpy' colours. In this light, this horse looks really beautiful and I love the colouring a lot. However, in other light it does look very purple (spoiler, you can't get purple horses) which apparently makes it very hard to match with any tack. This is a big pity because it is such a lovely horse. Originally, I thought that this one would be my favourite. When I was reading through the new page in the cafe it just looked so much more beautiful than the other ones but now I'm not so sure. Although I love the colours, mane, body, featherings - almost everything, the face is a massive let down. It seems very empty and plane - like it needs more texture. I'm glad that it doesn't have a bright pink nose (such as some other SSO horses) but I just think there is something missing there that the horse would look better for having. However, besides the face it's a great horse. This was actually the one that ended up being my favourite. Despite the colours not being my favourite (although I still quite like them) everything else makes up for it. The texture on the coat, the gradient on the feet, the mane, the shading on the face is perfect and the details at the face are lovely. I think that this horse was pulled of beautiful with everything being just right and looking fabulous together. I think I have my winner! Overall, the horses weren't bad but I did prefer the previous one. However, there was still many great things about them (and some improvements to be made also).
The final part of the update was SSO fixing loads of bugs and adding in a way of seeing your wild horses colours in tack shops. It's nice to here about all those annoying bugs being fixed, but we haven't heard anything about the club name glitch yet - I hope it's fixed. Hopefully this will make the game easier to play for a lot of people. Which of these horses is your favourite and why? Today we were able to welcome the re-model of the North Swedish horses (more commonly know as the NSH)! Being the first horse that I bought, the NSH has always had a very close place in my heart. They aren't my favourite breed, but I still do really like them. But, as people who read Monday's post will know, I was very excited and hopeful for this update, so let's go and take a look: This one feels like a remake of my old NSH (you can see a photo on the end). Despite the fact that I think the colours work great, the mane is detailed and the leg colouring is great. The think that the shape on the blaze is really cute, but I think it lacks texture. As much as most of the horse is better in texture than more recent horses, the face still has a bit of work. This was my least favourite but I really liked them all so it's not saying much. Let's just take a second to appreciate the colour of the mane... It's so beautiful! The nose is also really lovely and I'm glad to see a bit more texture on the face (although it's not quite there it, it has the most out of all of the horses). I decided not to buy this one because personally I don't like how 'samey' it is, however I know some people really like the 'samey-ness' of it! So I think this one really is personal prefence This was the beauty I took home. Despite the awful lack of texture on the face (it looks awful, I swear) the coat won it for me - the dots are beautiful! I think that the mane and featherings matched perfectly and I loved the start on his head. All of these features outshone the awful face so he came home! Despite originally wanting to go for the black (because of the super cute mane), I decided to take the lovely brown home with me. Even though the face is very pasticy, the coat is amazingly detailed, she had the beautiful mane the same as the black and I just wanted her in my stable. So I've left her to settle in and she got to meet my other North Swedish Horse (who does feel a bit jealous but is glad I didn't get the palo). Look at the difference! Size, shape - everything. The featuring is much more realistic and so is the texture of the coats. The texture is amazingly detailed and I just love it. Honestly, I'm so happy with this remake in general (just not the palo) and I think that SSO have done a really good job. There is still work to be done on the faces, but the rest of the body is amzing. I hope that horses are starting to improve again. Well, I can hope anyway.
What did you think of the new horses? It's been something that lots of players have been hinting at for some time - new North Swedish horses. I feel quite a connection with these horses as it was the first horse that I ever bought in game. As many readers will know, I am not known for liking remakes so I was a bit skeptical about watching the video. But I did and this was one of the first things I saw: Instantly, I was happy (after a very tiring day). This horse is beautiful! I love the pattern on the coat, size, colour of the mane... JUST EVERYTHING! It's honestly so beautiful, I just really love it. It fits in perfectly with Mistfall. This was the second horse (I am guessing there will be three horses in game, but SSO only normally release two on the trailer). I didn't like this one as much as the black one because I think that his eyes look a bit funny. But the coat is absolutely beautiful. I love the speckled brown on it! Have you noticed that there seems to be a new mane and tail style coming with the horses? I'm not sure that I like it but it's always nice to have some new variation. See, from this angle the brown one is really sweet but I still prefer the black. They are not as cartoony as previous horses and I just really like them. They are sweet, fluffy and I just want to give them a hug. I don't know if I'll get one because of my "no horses until previous ones are trained" rule, but I'm very tempted! I think I'll look at the price and balance it out from there. I can't wait to see them in game and I hope that they will look as good as they do here!
Which is your favourite? Another Wednesday, another update. It was high time that Gary returned to Firgrove, and now here he is! But before we jump into the excitement of new horses, let's look at the new loading screen: I think it's really pretty, perfect for this time of the year., showing that the world is not a Winter Wonderland anymore as the snow begins to melt. I will try and write a little story about it like a did last time (I can feel one coming because I just know that the bottom girl is called Ruth and the other one is Sophie, so I think a story will form in my head pretty soon). Onto the main thing of this update: the wild horses. I was hoping that next time they came out, they'd be different models or the small ones again, but they were not. They are the same shire modal as last time, which isn't the end of the world, I just wanted something newer. Oh well! Let's go and look at them. Here is the one that everyone is calling 'Rainbowdash' (please don't). It's lots of people's favourite horse - I can see why. I love the colour down the front of the face and I really like the way that purple has been used for shading. I absolutally love the colours on the feathers. Plus, the eyes are a beautiful colour. However, I really didn't like the colouring on the mane. I just thought it looks a bit weird and personally am not a fan of it. So I decided again this horse. At first sight, I didn't like this horse because it looked so 'samey'. But upon closer inspection, I have realised how much I love the shading. So many different colours of gold that, I think, just work together so well. In particular: the mane and feathers. The only think I would want to improve is add a different colour to the nose as I think it feels a bit flat, like it just needs something else there. A lot of people got Pandoria vibes from this. I see where they're coming from but, personally, I don't really feel them. I think that the feathers are my favourite thing ever though! The colour is just the best colour ever. I thought I'd really like this horse, but I don't like the purple & white around the base of the mane. I just don't think it fits that well. Also, his front lacks texture so it just looks a bit samey. However, I love love his nose. Of course, it's very important to look at the horses in their non-magical form as well. So here they are: My favourite horse in this photo was the one to the right (the purple horse). I would buy this by itself. The colour is amazing and so is the fade from brown to the coat. I quite liked the black one of first sight, especially liking the texture in the coat and detail on the face. I really didn't think that I'd like the on of the far left (the gold horse). However, in magical form my favourite was the gold one, but I wasn't sure about buying it just because of the normal form. However, after much debate I did, and I'm glad I did! Her coat is nothing like the picture. It actually reminds me of my North Swedish horse (which was the first horse I bought so it has lots of fond memories) and is very texture (plus I love the strip on her face). It's just a very pretty little breed to right, especially in wild form: Did you buy any wild horses?
Today happened something that a lot of players have been waiting for for a very long time… WILD HORSES! Yes, that’s right, you can now go wild! No more glitching, no more banning, no more pining. Just at the flick of a button, you can go wild. Here it is: Also, I really like the fact that you can change whether or not you can see other people being wild. Most of the time, wild horses annoy me, but there are times I want to see them. I think that this was a great way of giving everyone a choice. It also means in events, if someone is being annoying and going wild, I haven’t got to see them. It’s great that SSO have FINALLY listened to the community on this. It shows that, despite what it may seem at times, in the end our opinions are taken into account. Editor, YouTubers, role-players and just normal players alike must love this update. And if you don’t? Then just turn it off and pretend it doesn’t exit! Here are some photos that FR took while enjoying the new update. YOUTUBE UPDATE: I’m currently working on my biggest project yet. It’s taking a lot of editing, but I’m really excited. Put it like this, it’s something I’ve written, as a video…
Yesterday, SSO released an article telling us about lots of exciting things coming in game. It’s always nice to see that we haven’t been forgotten about and to be told things that are coming up! The article covered the following things: - New thing at Halloween & Christmas - Animations - Clothes - Hairstyles - Running pets - Horses - New area So I’m going to break each one down and talk about it. This is going to be quite a wordy post because SSO have given us only a few photos, so get yourself a hot drink, warm blanket and settle down to read. SSO have said that they’ll be adding new features to the holiday celebrating, but also keeping some old ones. I think that this is cool because I love tradition, but I don’t look forward to Christmas and Halloween quests anymore, as there is nothing exciting about them. We should get to see the new things happening at Halloween soon and SSO have left us with the little teaser of “For instance, we know there’s a rumour circulating that a mummy has been sighted on the island of Jorvik… “. I hope that it will be like Galloper Thomas was last year because that really was awesome! New animations. I don’t really like the current animations at all because they make taking photos really hard. I’d like to be able to customise the animations a little more but I doubt that will happen. So, I hope the new animations will be more realistic and make the whole experience of the game better. Of course, new clothes. There was a time when SSO released new clothes every week and because of that, new clothes don’t excite me anymore. Their weekly release have pretty much made new clothes an expected thing that is bound to happen with each update - even though it doesn’t anymore. Oh well, they might be nice. NEW HAIR! I am quite excited about this because we haven’t had new hairstyles of a very long time. I am hoping for a messy bun or a half up half down hair style, or French/ Dutch braids. Anything really that is a bit more “on trend” than the current hairstyles that sit in the horse salons. I like the idea of running pets but I’m not sure if they’re for me. I don’t really use my squirrel pet and they’ll probably be very expensive. But a very wise man (aka Professor Dumbledore) once said “don’t count your owls until they are delivered” so I will wait and see if I like them first! Apparently SSO will be releasing a horse that everyone has wanted. The only horses I currently want are Shetland ponies, but I don’t think they’re that popular to come out (due to being a pony). So, I guess, that it may be something that I have never heard of before? I hope that it doesn’t have a plastic look. New area? Well, I would have been excited but right now I’m actually quite sad. It’s had its name changed to “Mistfall” and now looks covered in mist. The mist really ruined Dino valley and I think it will ruin Mistfall too. I just hope that there isn’t mist everywhere. SSO are back to their old name changing tricks, May to Maya, Firfall to Mistfall. And no, I don’t think it’s because “players glitches in”. Here are some pictures: As I said, if there’s mist everywhere, like in Dino Valley, I think that it will be ruined. All of these pictures have mist in so we may be out of luck. However, if the mist is only in some places, maybe confined to the woods, it will be ok. Also, it will be released in 3 parts. I’m not sure how I feel about this. If they release the parts quickly, I don’t mind. However, if it takes 3 years to bring out the one area, I will not like it. I hope that the parts aren’t too small as well, but I think they’ll be about GHV size. I’m going to write a mail to SSO support about there not being mist everywhere and I’d urge everyone else to as well if they agree with me! What do you think about the new area?
It's the time again where people levitate to my blog to see me ranting about the new horses, and don't worry - you won't be disappointed. So today SSO released new arabians, pinto colours. They're found in Crescent Moon, Fort Pinta and Silverglade Equestrian centre. So here's each horse and my opinion on it! I'm never really a fan of blonde manes, but I do like the colours used at the top of the socks and on the edge of the "patches". The nose looks so pretty! It's not too bd, but it's still too plasticy for me to like it, ew. Ok, what even is this. It looks like someone using contour and not blending it. Literally, SSO use a blend tool. The colouring is annoying, the weird shaded stripes are annoying and it looks like something out of a child's cartoon. It's just horrible, in my opinion. I really really really hate it and I wish wish wish wish wish wish SSO didn't make horses like it. This is my favourite out of the three. Although I hate the dark lines, I like the colouring and I do quite like the legs, I think they're cute. The face is the real winner for me. I love the nose and the eyes and the way it all comes together. It's still too plasticy for my liking but it tends to be less noticeable with darker colours. Ok so, I didn't like any of the horses enough to buy them, so what did I buy? Um well... Welcome to the family Fara! I prefer the old arabs 100 times more than the new ones. I've had my eye on this one for a while and today she came to join the Silentland family. She's currently level 4 and I love her so much. My goal is to start buying horses again and training them. I'll only buy arabs, lippis and iceys most likely as they're the only ones that I like. Maybe the odd Andy and Sports. Anyway, it looks so nice, having a good day and I hope you are as well!
!**All photos in this post have been taken from the SSO website**! It’s a frequently asked question, which is the best horse in game? Well, I’m hopefully going to help answer that question. Firstly, according to stats, all horses have the same speed. There’s a lot of speculation about this, but for now we’ll go with this being true. So I’ll be looking at the jumping and turning ability of the horses. Jumping from the strength stat and turning from the agility and discipline stat. I’ll also choose the horse with the best jumping while having the best turning. However, I think it’s a lot more important to be able to turn in races with exceptions of certain races such as New Hillcrest where you have to jump over the water. The best jumping horses are the North Swedish horses and the Shires, both with 5 in endurance. For turning the best horses are the Akhal-Teke, Arabian, English Thougherbread, Hanoverian, Stella Francais all with 3 in agility and 2 in discipline. The horse with the best in both is a Haflinger with 4 in strength, 2 in agility and 2 in discipline. I think that that means when choosing your horse for a race, think “in the race do I need to jump a long way” such as over water. Most of the time you don’t. If you need hight, the stat, in my opinion, doesn’t help much, you just need to jump in the right place. If you need to jump a long way, use a Haflinger. But the rest of the time, use an Akhal-Teke, Arabian, English Thougherbread, Hanoverian or a Stella Francais!
Well, I was right in thinking that the new horses were a Mustang, Hanoverian and a Sports Friesian. I'm just sitting in the car, writing this on my phone because I have been kayaking. I won't get the chance to actually see the horses tonight which is annoying because I won't be able to talk about them after seeing them in game. However, I can write about them based on what I've seen on social media, including YouTube (which is where the photos coming are from). Well, I'm guessing you're reading this to see what I think so, without further a do, let's hop into it! Hanoverian- It's well known among my club that I hate Hanoverians. I loved the colouring (the mix of gold, on the face, and brown is just to die for) and the tiny little white patch on his head was also just so cute. I also love his legs and the mane and take but, the lack of detail? It's simply so plasticky that it's ruined! It looks like a bit of cheese. It’s really sad actually. I love the colours, I love the shape, I love the IRL breed but the lack of detail has ruined it on SSO! Friesian sports horse - I’m a bad person and I can’t actually see much difference in all of the different sports horses. I quite like the horse. The socks are cute and, apart from the tail being a bit shiny, it’s a lovely horse! I really really love the shading on the socks, they look so smart. Mustang - The one issues with grey horses recently on SSO, is their muscles are too defined and too dark which looks very unnatural. I like the legs, especially the way the black blends to brown, and I like the mane but the tail seems to be a bit too brown/ blonde and they don’t match at all. I don’t think any are for me but they aren’t that bad considering some of the recent horses that SSO have released. I just want the detailed, matt horses back so bad! I think it’s a decent update as SSO will be starting work on the area of the year so do expect the updates to get smaller as they aren’t really what they’re focussing on right now. Ah well, it’s been a long day - good night! Well, it’s time for my rant about the new horses…right? Well, I decided not to rant about them that much, therefore I’m not doing my normal in depth review. They lack detail, are plastics and are just horrible - in my opinion. Tomorrow, I hope to write a letter to SSO politely explaining why I want nicer horses in the future. Since the main bulk of this update was the horses, I found this video which I think just shows how much they copied the horse from the English Thorougher but I LIKED the ETB but I don’t like this before the ETB had much detail, more texture. I really want the old style of horses back, lippus, iceys - that was a golden era. (This video in no way belongs to me, but feel free to go and subscribe to the owner of the video, she’s an amazing YouTuber). Another thing is, now one of the horses will be available for 4 weeks in a non star rider area for all levels to get. I think that this is nice to give all players a chance to at least get the breed but to also make sure that the players that have played longer have a better choice of horses because it wouldn’t really be fair otherwise. Also, I hope this stops people glitching into higher areas. Finally, as it’s the 300th update, SSO have released an awesome code. Three items. Hat, top and gloves and they all look quite nice as well. I think this makes up for the horses! What did you think of the new horses?
Oh yes, I know people have been wondering where the Li rant on the Hanoverian but here it is. Before I start, let’s have a look at the horse. Well, it looks quite like a Lippi but in fairness, there isn’t THAT MUCH differentiation between some horse breeds so fair is fair. But the white one is so plastic - it lacks so much detail. Honestly, it looks like a children’s cartoon character, not the horses on the beautiful game I started playing. The brown one isn’t as bad but it’s still quite plastic. Many players are annoyed at this new horse and have been having little rants on social media or giving feedback to SSO, asking for more detailed horses. SSO have been deleting people’s comments on their post if they’re negative towards the new horse but at least it means the team has seen them so hopefully they’ll look at it and change it before it enters the game on Wednesday. I think they should else few people are going to buy them. There’s nothing special about them that makes me want to buy them, they look so similar to other horses. I wish SSO had spent more time on this breed to make it their own.
What do you think about them? I still wish that we got to keep our old starters, but here the new ones are. Lots of people have loved the update and, don't get me wrong, the horses are beautiful, I'm considering buying an old morab or something, but I'd just like to keep my old one because this isn't the horse I started the game with and I'm sentimental. Well, here's a before and after. The main change I think is the shape of the face which now looks like a lippi. I like the lippis but still it's a bit annoying that they didn't give it more character. I'm useless at comparing gaits and I actually didn't notice any difference...opps! I do really like the horse though, it's just really pretty, I just wish i had a choice in getting it rather than it being forced upon me. SSO also updated a few other things in game including the trailers, sign posts, chores board and more. I've only found four things so far but there's bound so be more so if you know any others, please let me know! Of the little new things in game, I like the new details and how that's more realistic but I wish that the colours were more natural and the textures less cartoony. It was okish, there were good things and bad things and I'll certainly miss my old starter...
But to cheer everyone up, you do like that you can now buy the "Team Star Stable" jacket in the mall right? So, SSO hinted at this yesterday and today here it is. The announcement of a new look starter horse. So here it is: So what have they done? They’ve made the gaits smoother and given the horse a more natural shape, which is good. I do really like it. They’ve also updated all other horses that had this shape.
But, I really want to keep my old one. There’s so much hate going around in the community about people saying this but I don’t really care - it’s true. Lovemagic has looked like that for over 3 years and I’d like a say in how he is going to look in the future. I wish that we had a choice about the new starters like how people’s old arabs weren’t just updated. I guess it just would be awkward with the new starters joining. But it does feel like SSO are erasing all of their past to make the game more marketable. Well, they are a company I guess. So, when will we get these updates? Well, they said very soon so in the next update or the one after that? I’m getting my memory photos and videos ready for the next update! What do you think about the new horses? Ever been out of horse name ideas? Well, Connie Misthill has this fabulous video on hand to help! Today I finally got the chance to look at the new arabs. I’m sorry that I’ve been inactive, it’s because I have a load of pressurising stuff IRL - fun fun fun! But here are the new colours of arabs, let me tell you now - I liked them more than the first set. Their colours were a lot more "my style". I haven't bought any yet but I think I might, I'm just not sure which one! I really liked the grey and bay one. There's less plasicy although still more than I would like. Also all of the features are very sharp. But their eyes are just so beautiful.
What did you think about the new colours? At some point, SSO said that they'd be making specialized races and it's really nice. I hope very much that it happens with other breeds as well. So, what was my point of view on the race. It was a bit weird to be honest, especially as I have a few glitches with tölt which made the race harder. It wasn't as hard as people had been telling me though, so that was ok. I didn't like it that much but it wasn't awful. I've seen worse races but I've seen a lot better (my all time favourite remains the Silverglade Equestrian centre ones - still unbeaten). What did you think of the new race?
