!!Possible spoilers from latest story quests!! Woah, the title says it all! Li is here with a crazy theory. Or is it so crazy? Maybe it's just obvious. I'm not sure! So when I was doing the soul rider quest, they were talking about Concorde and said this: When I read this, I instantly thought of Nightdust. A horse in a cage? Well, it just has to be him. Nightdust is one of the horses taken from South Hoof for Mr Anwir's evil plot. However, there is one problem. I'm not sure where Nightdust would fit into the 'things that weren't human' part. Could Justin mean other horses? I'm not sure. If this theory is right, I'm not sure how I'll feel about SSO trying to tie all of the quests together. First they tried to put main story quests with GED and now, possibly, this? I wish they'd allow there to be other questlines besides the main one that are, although exciting, independent.
How likely do you think this theory is?

When we got Mistfall, there was a reasonably sized area that remained locked. Some players can get across the river, but I am unable to without cheating. Therefore I can simply look across the water and get spoiled by other people's photos of awesome lily pads... But the reason I'm so interested in the area at this time is the fact that there are stars over there. If you look at the tree just above the centre of the photo above, you can see a star. You cannot actually get this star without glitching yet, so it's one of the two stars that SSO added and did not allow you to get. I know that the other star in there also. But SSO said this on the news: "You’ll also notice there are another two stars on the list, but they can’t be found yet… We’ll tell you more about that another week! ". This makes me think that the area with these stars in, the one above, will be coming soon. I really wonder when! I really want quests as I only have 60 XP until level 21 one. I wonder when though. Having two stars in game that you cannot get does make me think that it'll be soon so I wonder when. I hope for next week but I think that that might be a bit too hopeful! Another thing I wonder is whether or not this house will come up in any quests: It's the house that you can enter but no one is around it. I think it would be cool if SSO have left it just for people to roleplay in, but it would also be really cool to meet a character who lives there!
Today I was training up my arabian and when I was in SH, I noticed that some of the landscape around it has changed to this: The fact that they're updating it means that it will be coming at soon. I think most likely before the end of the year. So in no more than 2.5 months, we'll be galloping around this brand new area! So what do we already know about it? Well, we're looking at this area here: That's the furthest South found of the new area. We can see a strip of sand and a hill or an island. Behind that are jagged cliffs and rocks that look impassable. This means that the area that we're seeing is probably the end of the area. However, it is set in the mountains so it's quite likely that we'll be able to be up mountains a lot (which is super good for me because I love to climb). The area looks very green and full of life, looking closer to South Hoof than Firgrove. Ah well, we'll see.
Don't expect any blog post tomorrow as I'll with some mates! I have a theory about the UFO and Garnok - so here goes. Garnok is an alien, put down on the Earth which he wants to take over. He is pure evil. He got to Earth somehow - right? So what about this as his spaceship: It’s certainly built by aliens because the description says that no human hands could have made it. Also, it has runic symbols around the outside - alien magic maybe. It’s glowing slightly in a strange way so I that it must be magic. And this, must be Garnok’s ship!
Do you ever look at the areas that are undiscovered and wonder where they are? Well, I do - all the time. I (think) that I have discovered all areas possible and yet there are still four areas marked as "undiscovered". The first one is "prison island". I've spoken about this already as it is in Pandoria and we know we'll see it soon. The second one isn't named. There are apparently "two ancient forts". This makes me think of the middle of Fort Maria or Kings Road in Golden Hills Valley. But, I'm not sure. There are quite a few places it could be and more to come out. I think that Bread Island is somewhere in Epona but is locked. I think it's the place with all of the diggers and things. These could be some quite interesting quests with the Butterfield's as it says that it's their island. The final one is believed to be in Dino Valley but SSO have confirmed that it isn't out.
I think it's annoying that they release areas before they are released. What do you think? This is the first time I’ve ever wondered this which is good because I go past this so many times - we all do. What are they building at Firgrove? You can see sand bag and diggers which show it’s something big, as well at metal crates. We know that GED have been in the area because of the house that the tourists now live at. So it’s a high possibility that it could be GED trying to build something but here’s another theory. People are trying to build a tunnel through the mountain to get to the mountains of Jor. Maybe this is part of the same operation as they improve Jorvik’s transport. If so, I hope to get answers when we FINALLY unlock the mountains of Jor.
What do you think is in this area? SPOILERS (again). In the last Story Quest, we were told that we will be going into Pandoria to rescue Anne as she’s now too far in for the primeval tree to get her. This is really cool because Pandoria will be a whole new area which might be our main area for the year. What are my hopes for it? Well, I hope that it will be rather like the SSL games but my main hope is that we will be able to go to it after the quests have ended. I certainly don’t want it to only go there once! I hope that there will be some kind of daily left there that we can do so the joy or story quests last longer. But what do we know for sure will be in this new place? Well, if you check your discovered areas (and you should - you can find a lot browsing through there), you will find something that looks like this: Obviously, this is where we’ll need to go to rescue Anne. The “Agent of the Darkness” makes me think that we’ll have to fight them to get to Anne. I hope for a cross between fighting the GED guards and running from Shadow Creature things. Also this island is floating. Maybe we’ll just have to “hop” up to it but I hope very much that our horse will grow wings again - it would be cool to see them. I hope that next time we’ll be about to control our horse flying but maybe that’s too much extra programming.
I hope (I’ve said that 6 times now) that the quests will come this year but maybe not. What are your hopes for the new story quests? Well, I think that it's high time for another theory post and I started thinking about this one when I saw this: Did they have a rider working with them? For this we will presume that yes they did. So what does this mean? Well, here's a fun theory. We're meant to be a well known rider around Jorvik... right? So what if they meant for us to be the rider! If so, as bad as it sounds, I wish that they'd succeeded because that would have been awesome. I certainly hope for that in the future. I mean, come on, imagine being able to ride a horse that isn't yours in the quest and imagine being kidnapped. I don't suppose there's any chance of this quest line happening if Butterfly got recaptured? (I don't mean for that to sound that bad.)
I haven't actually spoken about it on here yet (which is weird because I've been loving it but oh well) but the Star Stable behind the scenes IG stories. So they were doing the concept art department this week (which, by the way, looks awesome) and in the background I saw this picture (sorry for awful quality). Does it look like another part of Jorvik City? You can see a train/ bus station and a street with people walking down it and trees (you’ll have to look close). We haven’t had our mini area yet this year and I have that it’ll be a few more parts of Jorvik City because that’ll be really nice. I hope that unlocking these areas with come with quests and a chance to explore parts of the city that we’ve heard about. The University, the museum, the school and more. I hope that it comes soon! What do you think this new area could be?
Oh, my, God. I cannot wait! So, sorry to crush your dreams, but we aren't about to be able to buy flying horses in SSO (well I don't think so anyway). That wing most likely belongs to Anne's horse meaning... we will have Anne back! I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait. It's annoying that I climb on Wednesdays because I'll probably have time to play the quests but not to write about them... Struggles! One fun theory I've heard is that the Guardians Dale horses will come to life. Apparently, each horse has a symbol of each power on it... Wow, wouldn't that be amazing? SSO have posted an interview saying that they have been working on animations and I hope that they have because I really really really don't want to be disappointed by "static" quests. Oh well, let's wait for tomorrow!
Who called it? I DID! New story quests. Oh my god, I’m so excited. The story quests are part of the reason that I hang around playing SSO. I’m so so so excited for the next ones! This video doesn’t give away much besides that it’s coming out in April and that it involves three soul riders… But can we hope for the return of Anne? Well I’ll be annoyed if not! Another hope for the quests is that the small area for this year is, in fact, Pandoria which we’ll be able to enter even after the quests have done. I think that this would be awesome as I can just think of the amazingness there. I just cannot cannot cannot wait! I hope that it’ll be soon but Easter update first of course. Ah well, we better meet Anne and go to Pandoria after over a year of waiting… So here is Alex... She's moved... Could this..? Is this..? Story quests? Eeeeek! I think it could be! So questions, questions that I will attempt to answer even though I know just about as much about I as you!
When? I think it'll be the Easter update this week so maybe the week after that or even later. We'll probably get a trailer leading up to the quests though so if we haven't got one of those by Monday I'd say they aren't coming. What? Well I hope that, as SSO have with the past two years, we'll get a mini area of Pandora that we can enter at any time. That would be awesome and my dream! I'd also like to meet Garnok but don't worry about him taking over Jorvik, I have an idea... Have you seen this exciting thing just off the path through Hollow Woods? It’s some kind of orienteering thing that i think might be for one or two updates away. She hasn’t got a name yet though.
I think it’ll be like a point to point where we have directions to locations and have to find them all as fast as we can. And then it will be similar to a high scoring race with the top of the day, etc. I think this is really cool and is actually using some real life skills in game because map reading is important. It looks awesome and I want it to come soon! What do you think? It’s time for another theory. I had it this morning while I was brushing my teeth so here goes. It might not be at all based on truth and just a wild theory but hey, let’s go! So you know how Jorvik was apparently started by a falling star? So in that star was Aideen who started the lie on Jorvik. Does that mean that soul riders/ soul rider powers come from a star? We don’t know but it sounds likely to me that soul riders actually all descended from a fallen star. Hang on, what other fallen stars are there on Jorvik? Of course, the fallen stars that we collect and find around game! So this gives us two options. The first is that each star has a soul rider waiting in it and when the soul rider is needed the star will erupt like Aideen’s did. And the reason why there are so many stars is because the decedents of Aideen have been protecting Jorvik and so the stars are not needed.
The other theory is that the star gives powers to the soul rider in question. So that means that when our character finds each star we gain our powers. This means that the stars are powerful and gave Aideen her powers. But there is a flaw to this. If that happened then what happened with the moon, lightning and sun elements? What do you think? So guess who forgot she hadn’t actually finished the quests? Yes, me. But on the bright side that means that we can talk about foals. I have mentioned them before both on my blog and Instagram. I actually received some comments from people saying that it wouldn’t happen. I don’t want to say I told you so but well I mean, I told you so.
The foals are due to come out next week but there are many unanswered questions. For example, will the app be free, how much SC will the foals cost? I know we aren’t going to get them for free so can everyone please stop posting “I will be so annoyed if we have to pay”. I’ve read that we’ll be able to train the foals and introduce them to our game play, so of course we’re going to have to pay in some form. -sigh- I’m very excited for the foals and I wonder what they will bring! If you've ever been really bored, you may have tried going to Dark Core's base and running into the big orange thing on the helipad. For those of you with lives who haven't tried it, you get a sort of purple edge around your screen (sometimes) as seen in the photo below.
Lots of people have (as you can imagine) been talking about this. Some people have gone as far as saying that this is the portal to Pandoria. It's actually the portal to Garnok, beneath the sea. So why does it look like it's working already? This makes me think that the team have started the code for it to actually work in the end. This is reinforced as the loading screen to the base has recently changed its look, revamped for the new quests? I'd love to go under the sea to visit Garnok (I mean hopefully we'd fight them but you know). I'd actually rather go to Garnok's lair thing than go to Pandoria. Garnok sounds a lot cooler. What do you think, would you rather see Garnok than going to Pandoria? After the quests on Wednesday, I was wondering around Jorvik City and I saw (not for the first time) some interesting people about that I thought could make quite cool quests. The first one I saw was this girl, Sierra, from the New Hillcrest racing team. She has a name which probably means some point in the near future she will be involved in a quest. It could be a really boring shopping quest or something but I hope it's something like the quest line with Alex's family. I think that would be awesome especially if we could help her and give her advice (and maybe join the racing team, but I suppose we are a Bobcat). These people all seem pretty behind an idea. I wonder what it's about? After playing so much Sims 3 I hope they aren't protesting about llamas! I hope that it's something like GED and in helping them in a quest we ourselves will be able to go to GED's headquarters (which I hope will be in Jorvik City). It would also be cool to meet some of Jorvik's crime force when they are trying to sort this out. The final thing I saw then I was wondering around was the queue at this cafe. The people at the front seem pretty angry at someone but other people are also sitting at the tables so it can't be closed? People are talking in groups which makes me think that they are talking about something specific, maybe something personal?
It’s finally feeling like Christmas. It took 2 days of Frosty Roses theme week, cold and tucked up reading a book (Eliza Rose) in front of the fire before I felt it! So have you been keeping up with the Star Stable advent calendar? Well here are the days and their gifts/ codes: 14th - Jumper (W1NT3RSW3ATER) 15th - Hat (W1NT3RH0H0HAT) 16th - digital wallpaper 17th - saddle pad (WINT3RP4D16) 18th - 20% off SSO merch 19th - saddle (W0WS4DDL3) 20th - digital wallpaper It’s been a really good year so far with the SSO advent calendar: I feel the outfits are less ‘newby’ and I will actually wear them rather then mixing it with other clothing! It’s good that as the players fashion sense has changed, so has SSOs. As I was tucked in front of the fire I saw a video from one of my favourite SSO YouTubers, Northena. I decided to watch through the video and I was amazed: This theory makes so much sense! I think that this is awesome and I am getting so much inspiration from it to write a story. However, I think that your character isn’t quite a reincarnation. I think that your character is simply a descendent and has the powers ‘switched on’. I really like this idea as I think it explains a lot of things and isn’t that far fetched.
On the subject of the main story quests, have you seen the new loading page of Dark Core? It’s really cool and I hope it means new story quests soon! Some think tomorrow but I doubt it as I think they’d give us a sneak peak first. Almost certainly we’ll be saving Anne but I hop there is more training in there as well! Have you ever noticed the number plates on cars? Well there are 5 different number plates that I managed to see around Jarlaheim, here have a look! 4 of these 5 number plates have the letters: Ale, Ann, Lin and Lis. These aren’t random letters, they are the first 3 letters from each soul riders name. Alex, Anne, Linda and Lisa! However, you can see another name too: Andrew? Who could he be and why would his name be associated with soul riders? I wasn’t sure so I checked on Jorvikpedia (both English and Swedish) and nothing came up. I thought of the nickname, “Andy” but he is just a person in Firgrove who doesn’t need to have any connection to the main story line. Who could this Andrew be? Maybe I’m looking into it too much and it is just a name for an unnamed NPC but SSO clearly thought into the number plates when they used the soul riders name so I’m interested, why Andrew?
Why do you think? Hello everyone! My name is Caitlin Lightlake, and I am a club leader of the amazing Frosty Roses ( just call me Cait). I have been considering starting my own blog for a while, and I love to talk about SSO weather it be clubs, thoughts about features or theories about future/upcoming updates. When I saw Li was looking for a guest blogger I took a chance and asked sweetly(; if I could take the role. So here I am! As we all know, this winter Star Stable will be bringing a new area to Jorvik. We have only had two teasers so far, and very little information on the area, so a lot has been left to the imagination! The only two possible areas to open on the current map are the Mountains of Jor, and the area behind Northlink/ GHV. After a little digging in the files, I found a rather large clue to what the area will be: Jorvik City, and obviously I was freaking out because we have been waiting for this area for so long. I think we may be able to get access to the Mall from the City, as we already know the mall is located somewhere within it. Which is really exciting because we will find out what it looks like outside, and I am super hyped so see how the game developers manage to create this area. Opening up Jorvik City also potentially opens up a huge door Story quest speaking, as previous story quests around level 16-17 led us the city where we get taken to the museum in Jorvik City by Godfrey to retrieve the Harp of Aideen so access to the City in my opinion could lead to the return of the 4th Soul Rider Anne from Pandoria. I think that the tram as seen in the teaser will be the method of transport around the city replacing trailers in this area. It's exciting to have a new method of getting round the game! The release of Jorvik City does not mean that SSO will open up the whole Mountains of Jor area, but when I heard about some windows people have been getting when they log in (About switching maps to go to Jorvik city and back to Fort Pinta, I think) I came up with a perhaps quite far fetched theory as to what will happen with the map. The map would have another section, where we would travel to Jorvik city and switch to this new map which would show the other half or middle part of the Island. It would be amazing to see some features of the rest of the island and a change from the corner we know so well. My second theory, coming from this window pop up glitch some players have been experiencing is that we travel to the City by bus, like the mall, however it would take us to an area and not the mall itself.
It would be awesome to hear some of your thoughts about this new area, and I do hope that it will be released in the next few weeks, after the Home stables of course! |
