I think that this is probably the most hated on update this year after chat banning (which is weird because I don't think it's too bad). So without further a do, let's head into the update. So firstly, Jojo Siwa, an American singer and dancer (google her if you want to know more, because I'm not the person to tell you) will be doing the debut of her new song next week at the disco in Fort Pinta. In preparation, each day you can find 7 JoJo bows hidden around game and swap them for clothes. Don't worry if you miss a day because the bows will stay along with the bows for the new day! There is also a shop which currently sells 5 t-shirts which each cost 1sc or 10js - a very good deal. Now, where's the problem with this person coming to SSO? Well, SSO are yet to understand that most of their players are between about 11 - 16. Jojo is more for 6 year olds (she's the rainbows and unicorns type of person). Therefore, most of the SSO audience is not within Jojo's market and this is why she had got such a negative response for coming to the game. Although I do not like her, I have got some free/ cheap items from her coming and I can always not go to the disco. I think SSO made a mistake in adding her, but she's here now so you might as well try and make of the mot of it. Also, SSO have brought back the fashion market for a week - yay! I love the fashion market, but I was sad to notice that they only added some bridles. I think they could have added much more considering the market has been gone for months. Although some of the bridles are very cheap, I think that 119sc is way too much for a bridle. However, others are around just 25sc - which is quite a good value. You can pick up four new bridles for 100 sc which is an amazing deal. They are all western which doesn't tend to be to my taste, but they're still quite nice. My favourite is the "lake western bridle" at the bottom. They also released 3 morgans, which are already in the game. The morgans still cost their normal price but they game with free tack, namely a free bridle, saddle, saddle pad, saddle bag and leg wraps. I thought that this was a great deal and so I welcomed my new horse home. Welcome Holl aka Minihollow! The final part of the update was 20 new stars have been added to the game (I will make a video about finding them soon). I love finding stars so I think that this is a great thing. It's nice that star stable haven't given up on them and have been adding loads more recently. There was also a new way of viewing the stars that you have found which I thought was pretty neat: I filmed all of this, plus a bit more, on my YouTube channel. So please like and subscribe (totally not self promo). I actually think it was a good update, not the end of the world like some people were making out! We have a lot of good deals and cool stuff, even if I don't like Jojo Siwa.
Are you happy that Jojo Siwa is coming to Jorvik?

I was just sorting through my photos when I noticed that I didn't blog about the new tack that SSO released with the druid quests. For me, any item above 100 sc, unless it is a horse, is too expensive. The saddle falls into that category and it's way too cartoony for my taste. It hasn't got enough detail or texture, which is a shame because it's quite nice otherwise. The bridle is ok but nothing very special. Just a common bridle (which a yellow-brown colour that I'm guessing is very hard to match with). My favourite piece of this set is the saddle pad. I love the symbol on it and, although it could have a bit more texture, it's pretty good. I think it's a really pretty colour and I love the gold bit at the bottom.
For people who like collecting the Druid sets, I think they'll like this set. But for me, it's too expensive for not enough content. But I would consider buying the saddle pad. Hi there! A very long awaited update today, we can get to Pandoria at will! Also, we can go there with our friends which I'm really excited about (club events here we come). It was frustrating before so I am just so excited that SSO have listened to player's feedback and opened Pandoria for everyone all the time. You may only enter it on your starter horse. Each day, the portal will appear in a different part of Jorvik (I'm sure there will be timetables coming out soon). It looks like this: Once inside, I noted that it was the same place as we went to on the last story quests, with just a couple of differences. There are picnic spots and you can call for a pick up to the portal (there is currently a glitch that if you use this feature, you will no longer be able to see other players in Pandoria unless you leave it and come back). It found it very confusing and will spend the next few days finding my way around so that I can hope to spend more time there without being confused. We don't know how long it is staying (but I hope a very long time). Here are some photos FR and I took together in the new area: Another update (that I didn't actually get the chance to look at) are these headbands to be found in Mistfall: Personally, it's not something that I would wear but I think it's great how SSO are branching out to be using different accessories. It allows players to express themselves and it is also a lot of fun.
I hope everyone has a great day! It's the last post about Mistfall and then everything will calm down and become about the game as a whole again. In Mistfall, we were blessed with a brand new salon. It can be found in Dundell and it sells three hairstyles. Two of the hair styles are the two old ones that we've had in game for a while (although are still very new) and the other one was brand new to Jorvik. Here is it in some of the different colours. I've always loved the ponytails in game and I wore my classic brown ponytail for a very long time. I really liked these updated versions of my old hairstyles. I think they're my new favourite hair style in game. They're very stylish in a modest way. They weren't too pricey, although they weren't cheap (unlike my old ponytail). The one bad note about them is that they go through the hat that you are wearing. It's a salon so we also go some makeup, of course. The makeup that we there was Viking themed and looked like this: Although these aren't something that, in general, I'd wear myself, I really liked them. I thought that it was cool how different they are to other makeups in game and how it just reflects the character of Mistfall so well. SSO have done a great job there, I think, of giving it character and allowing that character to be seen in everything from the gardens to the shops. People who get into viking roleplays will love this and I think that it may be something that FR have to wear at an event at some point!
All in all, I really liked this salon. I thought it was new and unique, not just copied of already made clothes so I really enjoyed it and had much fun looking around! What do you think of the new hair and makeup styles? I know, I know, another Mistfall post. Well, there's a few more to come because I'm going to try and get all of my thoughts about the new area onto my blog asap. I almost have all of the photos that I need now, so I just need to write the stuff. Today I wanted to took at all of the fashion items in the new area and talk about them a bit. In Mistfall we are blessed with 5 new shops (not counting the salon, I'll look at that tomorrow). It's all quite cool, so here is the first shop. This is the one at the Jorvik ranger station. You need to gain reputation points with the rangers in order to buy this stuff. I think that it looks quite nice, the love the two tops in particular. I really like that how, unlike most sets, it's not wildly expensive so someone could actually afford all of it. I really like the way that the jacket is the same one that the rangers use and that the saddle bag is so details. Obviously, this shop will have more stuff added to it in time but for now it's looking quite new and I quite like the stuff in there (almost I'm not quite sure that they all necessary fit together). The pricing seems ok (although I think it's running that the mos expensive thing are the plain leg wraps). I really like the colours used on the saddle, I think it looks really nice, I may treat myself to it. This seems to me as the "Mistfall set". I really like each item. It's detailed, nice colours and quite realistic. I especially love the detailing on the shoes and gloves. However, when I saw the set all together, I didn't think that it matched that well. I think that the hat looks a bit odd, it's too tall. But the rest of the rest I think is really nice clothing. If only it wasn't so expensive. I liked this shop so much. It's just perfect for Mistfall that they'd find feathers and sell them for horses. I loved it! It was a really look and original idea that really matched Mistfall and we haven't seen anywhere else in game. I did think they were a bit pricey but because they're very unique I'm not surprised and I don't think that it's the end of the world. I am guessing that the berries go into your saddle bag and you can carry them around to pretend that you've been out gathering. I think that's a really nice idea for the role players out there, but I only like to have 'moving' things in my saddle bag personally, else it feels lifeless. But I know some players will really like them. Then there was all of these. I'm not going to talk about the glasses so much because they were pretty bog-standard and I'm not into glasses, so I'd probably make them sound awful when someone who likes glasses might really like them. But the earrings! It's the first time that we've seen them in game and I love them. The loop earrings are cool but I'm not into loops (I've seen some people with them and think they look great); however, the feathers... My god! It's just, like with the horses, perfect for Mistfall and they look really nice. I'm on the fence about whether to buy them because I'm not sure how much you can see them but I really want to. They're just so pretty and perfect! I guess this is some of the perks of having your character's face look squashed like a mouse!
What do you think about the new shops? Hi! Mistfall is huge and there’s so many things to review about it and talk about. Here are the things that I really want to talk about - Dundell review - Main land - Quest line - Horses & pets - Clothes & hair - Jorvik Rangers So I’m going to try, in the next couple of weeks, do some of these while not completely spamming the blog with only Mistfall content. Originally, I was going to do just a view on Dundell in this post, but I realised that no one would have a clue what I was on about and would wonder on my thoughts on the rest of the area and update. I assure you, it’s all slowly on its way. For now, I’m just going to do a short line summary on my basic thoughts on each thing so I know I’ve done it. I love reviewing and talking about things and new areas on SSO do my head in. I just love them too much! There’s so much to write about and there’s so much writing inspo and it’s always all too much so I suffer a mini blogging breakdown. Ok Li, breathe, breathe and write. This won’t go into detail on each thing, but it’s the short version of what’s coming in the next few days. As many people would know, I was very worried about the release of Mistfall. I didn’t like the way that they changed the name and I was worried it would be too misty, like Dino Valley. Then, I got worried it would be like South Hoof - no village. But I was very pleasantly surprised. Yes, it’s small, but it’s very detailed. I am getting used to the style of the area and I love the plants and the animals that fly around. I love love love the layers and bridges and all little passageways. Dundell has good Viking heritage vibes, with lots of evidence of fishing and gathering. It’s also a nice cross between Firgrove and Jorvik City, with cars but Firgrove houses, which is a nice transition between them. I love the way that horses are weaved into the way that the town works and the general atmosphere is just great. I have so much more to write on this but not today! The quests were great. It was nice to get an update on GED again. I found them almost challenging in places, which is good, and I think that the story line has some more grown up parts as well as the normal boring “the meat is poisoned” parts, but I get that SSO has to reach a lot of different ages. This is hard to just briefly touch upon, so you’ll have to wait for more detail. The clothes are all detailed and look great, although are expensive. I like the way that you need to get rep to get them, we haven’t had rep in a while so it’s good to have something to work towards. I think it’s nice that the clothes all match the vibes of the area, it just makes the whole thing feel a bit more real. The hair looks cool, I got the pony tail which is the new style. I hope it suits me! I love the Jorvik Rangers. They’re so cool and “woodsy”. I am getting so much inspo about them! There’s not a lot more to say until I review in more detail. So until then! Those are my very brief thoughts on Mistfall. As said, up until Christmas there will be lots of stuff coming about reviewing the area, so I’m sorry in advance for the spam. What did you think of Mistfall? Hello lads! I’m casually writing this on the bus on the way home. It’s because I’m out climbing tonight and, so, won’t get a chance to write this otherwise. -Quick pause in writing as a save my bag from falling over on a roundabout.- Today I thought I’d do something slightly different: my top five most worn clothes. These aren’t my favourite clothes, but they are the ones that fit best with most outfits and I just tend to have on the most. Also, I’ve chosen a top, trousers, gloves, boots and hat - so these aren’t necessarily things I would wear together or that I wear the most overall. They are just the things that I wear most in that particular group of things (I feel like this is making little sense because I can touch type and am currently looking out of the window instead of focusing on the screen like a normal human). My go to top is certainly this red one. I just love the pattern, the detail, the layers and the overall style. I think that it’s super chill & casual and it’s just something that I wear a lot. When I was thinking of trousers, I thought at first that it would be the ones that have max stats in game. But then, I realised it isn’t. This is because I don’t tend to wear them outside FR uniform and racing outfits as they are not full length, which is really annoying. Instead, I wear these jeans. I could live in jeans in the real world and SSO is no different. With a hat, it was hard to choose between one of the brown western hats and this, but I decided to go with this: a beanie. As it’s black, it matches a lot of outfits and it is just a casual hat that can be worn all year round - which is probably why I like it so much. I think that it’s really cool due to the face as well! So yeah, the hat is me attempt as being trendy. Remember those annoying none full length trousers I mentioned? Well, I normally try to fix them with these long brown boots. I just think that these boots go with so many outfits and are just nice and simple, but, yet, do their job. I think that these gloves are a lot of people’s favourite. Sometimes I wear the fingerless ones, but most times you can find me chilling in just plain black clothes. Once again, they go with most outfits and they just sit there. I don’t like using clothes most of the time and can’t wait to be able to remove them in the future. But, until then, these are the ones I will have on. What do you think your most worn item is?
The main thing about today’s upset was new hairstyles. This apparently was the reason that they had to change our characters into monsters, so I was hoping for something a little better than this. But, before I talk about it, let’s look at them: I really like the colours, although they were quite standard, they were nice. The first hair style (braids going to the back of the head) is quite nice. I really do like the way that it waves. However, the plaits seem to be really flat on the head. I wish that it had some depth, either french or dutch, not flat. The second hair style is just really weird. It’s so sticky up at the front, like part of the hair is trying to take off! It’s just very strange and very unnatural. I guess that you wouldn’t be able to see it under the helmet, but still. Today, they also released some more photos of Mistfall: I’m glad that it doesn’t look so misty. It looks pretty decent at the moment. It looks quite magical and pretty. What do you think?
I’m looking at the clock and feeling guilty that I’m not sleeping. To stop headaches I need at leat 8 hours sleep, but 10 is the only one that stops them, so I need to sleep in the next 20 minutes. New animations today & an (awesome) new hat. Interested in reading my opinions for (most likely) no actual reason? Go ahead!!!! Here are my thoughts on the new look As you can see, as part of the new look, they have added new animations. These aren’t big changes but there’s that move above as well as smoother mounts and dismounts (they’ve got rid of the way the character throws the arm over - which was weird) as well as making you hold the reins, when you’re stationary, in a more realistic way. Those are images of the run and the walk. Some people hate them, but at the moment I actually prefer them. They’re less flouncy and more realistic. Maybe the run is a bit over the top, but I’m glad I don’t walk everywhere like someone on the catwalk anymore My head looks really odd and squashed on my shoulders. It makes me think of a rodent or someone who has a condition that makes them hold their neck oddly (I’m not trying to be rude or anything, it’s just how I see it). Maybe it’s just because of the shorter neck which I’m not used to, but still - it’s weird. Maybe I’ll get used to that in time, I certainly hope so because I really don’t like it at the moment. SSO ADDED POINTED WITCHES HATS. I love the look of them so much, and here they are: You get them in the Halloween shops. I don’t like the white one (which costs over 200sc, which is very over priced, and looks, in my opinion, awful). However, I do like the purple (99sc) and the black (almost 50sc). I decided to take the purple home with me as, although it costs more, it’s more detailed and I think will work best with my SSO Halloween outfit. I really love that these have come to game!
What did you think of the hat and animations? When I was doing the Hallowe'en quests with the pumpkin lady, instead of focusing on the quests I was looking at her top: I think that it just looks really nice and casual and I really want it in game. There are so many nice clothes on NPCs but not so many available for us. I think it's because SSO know whether or not the clothes look good on NPCs but maybe they don't think it through so well with us? Ah well! Do you have any wishful clothes for SSO to add to the game?
Hello, it’s Li and finally it’s time for the Hallowe’en update. I don’t really celebrate Hallowe’en in the real world but I do love the celebrations in game. As promised by SSO, this year we had lots of new cool stuff, as well as some seasonal favourites returning, so without further a-do let’s hop into the game. That was the first thing I saw logging in and I love it so damn much! It’s maybe not too much like the actual game but it’s still a really cute picture and I can certainly see a little story coming off of it… Possibly coming to the blog in the new few days? Eve’s sister decided to turn up, called Fae. They’re twins and actually remind me of my own two younger sisters (who are also twins). My sisters are called Emma and Fay, which is scarily similar actually! The quests basically involved picking up bits of material (that looked like toilet roll) from around Jorvik, including the toilet roll race! This toilet roll was put together to form this mummy outfit, it looks quite cool, I like the way all of the pieces blend together to form one outfit but it’s not something I would actually wear! This year, the difference was the ability to change your horses colour and stuff. There were six effects. three that could only be seen by you (fire, bats and darkness) and three that can be seen by everyone (zombie, mummy and skeleton). The cheapest are the private ones, which can be bought separately by 5 sc but it can rage right into the hundreds of sc for 15 public ones. I don’t really think it’s worth it if I’m honest. I tested some on my alt account: I actually prefer the ones that can’t be seen by anyone else. I like the way that rather than looking funny, like April Fool day, they actually add an air of spookiness to the horse. New year I hope for everyone to be able to see these and there to be more. The shop looks good, I like it. It’s the “mall style” but you can change the camera angle like you would normally, allowing for more adjustments. Also, you can zoom in and out which just allows for more detail to be shown - of course, it also happens to have an ultra cool Halloween theme. This year, the shop is selling things from previous years, including the Galloper Thomas top. It also has a brand new mummy outfit to match the magic horse and the outfit you get in quests. Personally, I’m not into it but I think others may be. There were also loads of masks. From Fripp, to druids, to Steve, you could get so many masks. Most cost around 150 js, but here are the ‘special’ ones that cost a lot more. I must say, I love all of the special ones and most of the other ones! Finally, this year the apple bobbing hasn’t yet appeared. I love the apple bobbing because you get lots of cool stuff with very little work. Will it appear later on next week along with the ghost train? Let’s hope so. I love the mix of old and new things to make a really good Halloween, once the apple bobbing is back, everything will be perfect!
Yesterday, SSO released an article telling us about lots of exciting things coming in game. It’s always nice to see that we haven’t been forgotten about and to be told things that are coming up! The article covered the following things: - New thing at Halloween & Christmas - Animations - Clothes - Hairstyles - Running pets - Horses - New area So I’m going to break each one down and talk about it. This is going to be quite a wordy post because SSO have given us only a few photos, so get yourself a hot drink, warm blanket and settle down to read. SSO have said that they’ll be adding new features to the holiday celebrating, but also keeping some old ones. I think that this is cool because I love tradition, but I don’t look forward to Christmas and Halloween quests anymore, as there is nothing exciting about them. We should get to see the new things happening at Halloween soon and SSO have left us with the little teaser of “For instance, we know there’s a rumour circulating that a mummy has been sighted on the island of Jorvik… “. I hope that it will be like Galloper Thomas was last year because that really was awesome! New animations. I don’t really like the current animations at all because they make taking photos really hard. I’d like to be able to customise the animations a little more but I doubt that will happen. So, I hope the new animations will be more realistic and make the whole experience of the game better. Of course, new clothes. There was a time when SSO released new clothes every week and because of that, new clothes don’t excite me anymore. Their weekly release have pretty much made new clothes an expected thing that is bound to happen with each update - even though it doesn’t anymore. Oh well, they might be nice. NEW HAIR! I am quite excited about this because we haven’t had new hairstyles of a very long time. I am hoping for a messy bun or a half up half down hair style, or French/ Dutch braids. Anything really that is a bit more “on trend” than the current hairstyles that sit in the horse salons. I like the idea of running pets but I’m not sure if they’re for me. I don’t really use my squirrel pet and they’ll probably be very expensive. But a very wise man (aka Professor Dumbledore) once said “don’t count your owls until they are delivered” so I will wait and see if I like them first! Apparently SSO will be releasing a horse that everyone has wanted. The only horses I currently want are Shetland ponies, but I don’t think they’re that popular to come out (due to being a pony). So, I guess, that it may be something that I have never heard of before? I hope that it doesn’t have a plastic look. New area? Well, I would have been excited but right now I’m actually quite sad. It’s had its name changed to “Mistfall” and now looks covered in mist. The mist really ruined Dino valley and I think it will ruin Mistfall too. I just hope that there isn’t mist everywhere. SSO are back to their old name changing tricks, May to Maya, Firfall to Mistfall. And no, I don’t think it’s because “players glitches in”. Here are some pictures: As I said, if there’s mist everywhere, like in Dino Valley, I think that it will be ruined. All of these pictures have mist in so we may be out of luck. However, if the mist is only in some places, maybe confined to the woods, it will be ok. Also, it will be released in 3 parts. I’m not sure how I feel about this. If they release the parts quickly, I don’t mind. However, if it takes 3 years to bring out the one area, I will not like it. I hope that the parts aren’t too small as well, but I think they’ll be about GHV size. I’m going to write a mail to SSO support about there not being mist everywhere and I’d urge everyone else to as well if they agree with me! What do you think about the new area?
Hello there. So, today’s update was a Hanoverian race. A lot of people are quite annoyed about it as they do not own a hano (lI’m laughing so hard because it just auto corrected hano to hand) so they cannot do it. However, as long as in the future there are races for horse breeds that I do have, I think it’s quite cool. Yes, it’s not my horse breed this week but in the future I’m sure there will be a really nice race for my horse. You can get 10XP just from talking to the dude at Silverglade Arena so you might as well go ahead and do it. The actual race gives you 350XP and looks quite cool. Just like in the open house race, there are cross jumps as well as water jumps - which look amazing! Little tip, if you own a hano and you’re training another horse then do the race on the hano and collect it with the horse you are training. I would really like water jumps in the game permanently, not just when you’re racing (my hopes for the new area this year). I think it’s been an ok update actually. I didn’t expect anything that big after Pandoria just two weeks ago. It’s quite a nice idea and if it was a breed that I had, and liked, I’d love it but, I don’t, so for now it’s not my cup of tea. But, if they make a Lipizzaner dressage race then I’ll be so happy.
What did you think? This was not expected at all, STORY QUESTS! But first, little disclaimer: this post WILL include spoilers about the quests but WON’T show an exact quest replay so read at your own risk. Before I did the quests, I looked at this brand new set of clothes. I really love them as they are the perfect picture of “Valedale” and it’s something that I would actually wear in game. I just love it all really. The hat is in my second favourite style - beanie - (my favourite being Western). The tunic is a really pretty and isn’t the classic puffy dress but it isn’t a shirt either. Just nice simple brown gloves and trousers. And I love the way that the boots have fleece on to show that it’s up North and colder but also have the green vine to show that Valedale is a place of flowers and nature. I think a lot of thought have gone into these but the price was just too much to get on my main account. The tunic alone was 149 sc (not available in Jorvik Shillings) and it’s about 400 sc to get the whole set so I might get it on an alt where I don’t care about the money that much. I’ve now taken too long talking about clothes when the most important thing in this update is the story quest.
I think it’s really cool that they show that Justin hasn’t walked away from his time at Dark Core unharmed and that Fripp and the Druids aren’t happy with him either -coughs loudly that there may be fan fiction coming-. It seems like Justin is almost possessed by Garnok and I really love this part of the quest line. And can we just talk about the fact that Anne is coming! I. Can’t. Wait. FINALLY Anne is coming to join us hopefully in the next story quest update when we will get to go through to Pandora. I haven’t yet edited the video of the story quests (which I will do tomorrow) and I will write a separate post about my hopes for Pandoria. The final thing is that the amount of REP you get in the Sun circle dailies and the Pandoric Cracks has increased which is a bit annoying for players who worked hard on it (COUGHS, another post is coming there, so much post inspiration from this update) but I guess it would take too long for the newer players to work through the story quests. What did you think of the update? So happy that there are finally more quests! As much as I love kayaking, it is a pain having it on the same day of the update because I never get to play through the quests. But they look awesome! I’m just avoiding spoilers on Instagram and YouTube like bombs. People please don’t post from the quests until at least two days afterwards! This gives most people a chance to do them. I think I’ll film the quests so even thought it’s not too late to play them now, I don’t want to wake up the whole household for a video. So, tomorrow. Also, it’s amazing to find out that we’re a part of a community that is just under 10 million! (Just under because of the amount of people that have alts.) I also think that the new jacket is really cool unlike the rest of the codes that SSO seem to release which are things I wouldn’t dream of wearing! I think that this could make a really nice club uniform for someone (once an owner, always an owner). It’s also perfect for the Autumn season that is rapidly approaching. Finally, some of my favourite quests are back - the midsummer treasure hunt. Why do I like it? Free stuff of course, haha! And on that thought, good night.
So what did I think of the new horses? Well it was nice to have the old models of Friesian Sports and Morgan return in the new models and the Icelandic really caught my eye - but none were for me. So let’s go and take a little look! I was going to buy one of the horses but, as I mentioned, none were for me so I settled with some cheap brown clothes (they match my ig theme). I only spent 39 sc and 3000 js on two pairs of shoes and one jacket and they are all - in my opinion - very nice! Finally, for those who watched games news there was a video of Matilda ad Ylva at the end saying that never week would be wild. What’s happening next week? Some are saying that it’s just the challenges and others are thinking about a wild horse update. I’m not really sure - hard to say but easy to speculate. What do you think?
I haven’t shared one of my outfits for a while so here is one now! I’ve practically been living in this one as it’s quite summery and encompasses some of the latest fashion from fashion week (I like to be up to date). Please do not copy this outfit entirely. Inspiration is fine and using a similar theme/ similar things is fine but just not the whole thing because that’s just unoriginal! Street cap - Lifetime Star Rider

As some people will know in my previous two vaccinations I had a massive panic after them including black spots, dizziness and vomiting. I was terrified of having another one because it was like giving permission for someone to stab me with something that could make me feel very unwell. I backed out the first time 2 weeks ago but I came back again to do it yesterday and after much shaking and crying I did the jab! My arms hurt at the moment and I was very shaking and teary afterwards because I was so glad it was over. I hardly had a reaction to it as well so I’m happy right now and in the middle of planning a Harry Potter fan fiction about Tessa Von Silverstein. (Ps, no post yesterday because of the above.) This update has been well predicted by the SSO community, it’s Jorvik Fashion week and Fortuna! Both come with quests but if you’ve done the fashion week ones before you can’t do them again (which is annoying but I can see why). But before you even log on you notice the update with the brand new loading screen: I miss the pink cat quite honestly. This is sleek and new but the cat has helped me so many times that it feels wrong without it. I really like the art and I think that it would be an excellent way to include the community with the Monday funday art going up on the loading screen as it would really help promote artists (especially if they got credited). The next thing was the amazing fashion show. Here are some of the outfits (I’m sorry for names in the photos/ speech bubbles, I couldn’t ignore everyone in time). I love love love these outfits! My two personal favourites are above but I love these clothes. They are all textured and feel realistic. I think that they have made the dresses actually work although the skirts not so much. I love the jeans however my favourite piece is definitely the horse top. I decided to go on my Unicorn Forest account and get some of the new clothes so here they are: think that’s pretty much it. Plus you get to chase the rainbows for another week! And the horse market is back. I haven’t started on any of the quests yet as I was cramming in revision but I will tomorrow. Night!
Today’s update gave us some more quests in New Hillcrest with Jamie the baker. It’s about time! I filmed the quests which I will edit and upload at some point because I think it’s easier to show the quests that way rather than over my blog. I will talk about the quests here however. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the quest animations. When putting out a fie we just stood there, I thought we were past that. Also, we pretty much just collected, filled up and delivered milk and then sorted out a burned pie and delivered that. So it wasn’t too exciting but it did give XP! I’m now 45 xp off level 20 but there’s a new faction + new dailies and a rep quest that I’ll be able to finish soon and hopefully, hopefully, hopefully get to that level 20. To match the new faction we also got 2 new shops. One is awesome with food and cutlery which you can place in your brand new brown love heart saddle bag from the shop. I didn’t get any photos from that one but I did get some of the other shop! I don’t think they’re my kind of clothes but quite nice! And finally, you can now feed your horse bread. Yes…bread…
My hopes are that Valentines Day will go tomorrow with the update (and that we'll get some more quests because I am less then 200 xp from level 20 and it's annoying me). I like Valentines Day but I'm getting bored of the tacky hearts - I just want Jorvik back!
I have finally managed to collect the whole Valentines set (there are glasses but I hate wearing glasses). It's quite nice although I'd like the saddle pad to be pinker because the whole outfit sort of clashes and doesn't look that nice to wear which is a shame because SSO have recently been making quite nice outfits. If you're wondering where to get things from, I believe that everything is from V-Day quests apart from the ribbons which are from the friendship race and the wraps + bag which are from letters. The friendship race also gives you a box of chocolates (you can put it in your saddle bag), bridles and glasses. Plus you can get some flowers for you saddle bag through around quest. So clothes wise it hasn't been a bad year. However, I just want Easter to get a move on. P.S. Happy Pancake day |
