Alright so, it’s Tuesday (what, I swear it was only Wednesday a few days ago?!) meaning that the update is tomorrow. What can we expect? Well, SSO released this photo saying “Such beauty, such grace! Coming soon to Jorvik…” Many believe that it’s a remake of the Arabian which is one of my favourite horse breeds in game (it’s joint between Lipi, Icey and Arab). I hope that it is because I’m interested to see it. I like the arabs as they came before “the era of plastic” so I hope the remakes aren’t too plastic. Everyone has been taking the hell out of the horse’s eye brows, I agree, they are quite dramatic. I’m not keen on the nose and I’m worried it looks a bit plastic but we shall see when it comes out.
When? That’s the big question. Normally, we get some kind of video teaser with a date before hand so I’m not sure if it will be tomorrow, but one can always hope!

It’s late but I wanted to talk about the update so I decided “better late than never”!
There were two main things in the new update, 14 new stars and brand new camera angles. Let’s start with the stars. I really liked the new stars in the game. I thought it was cool that they weren’t all the classic “go and click on it” ones. There were some you had to chase, others you had to click on and one ultra cool one which I loved where four people had to stand on the stones for the star to be revealed. I think it’s nice that finding stars is now harder and you have to think out of the box. If you are having difficulties finding them, I suggest you use a trusty friend of mine called YouTube! The next thing was, as mentioned, new camera angles. Any chance is bound to be met with critique and the new camera angles were no exception. I don’t like them that much but I guess they’re bearable. It looks very weird when the riders are spinning on the spot plus the horse’s jump looks like it has springs for legs. This jumps sometimes goes too high and ends up with me dying. Also, I don’t like having the horse at the bottom of my screen. However, SSO have said that they’ll make adjustments and we should give feedback. I will give feedback but I want to give myself a couple of weeks to get used to it before I start complaining but I’d like to ask everyone else to let people rant if they want to. If you don’t like the rant - let them read it, but don’t create pointless drama over it. Have you seen this new game yet? It isn't out to download but you can find it on Google Play. So what is the app about? Well: The Darkriders have stolen Fripp's Pandorian seeds! Take the reigns of a Soulrider and dash through Jorvik on your steed in pursuit of the evil Dark Riders! They must be stopped at all costs! ** EXPERIENCE THE STAR STABLE SAGA ON MOBILE** Delve into the fantastic world of Jorvik, of magic and astral symbols, of The Keepers of Aideen and Dark Core. Play as Lisa and Starshine, Linda and Meteor, Anne and Concorde, or Alex and Tin-Can in this running adventure! ** THE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF JORVIK ** Explore the mysterious and breathtaking island of Jorvik; bask in the splendour of its natural beauty, and savor its crystal clear waters. Dash through its rustic towns, green pasteurs, wide open plains, and rollings hills. ** PROTECT JORVIK FROM EVIL FORCES ** Assist the denizens of Jorvik in upgrading the buildings of their towns to better protect against the nefarious deeds of darkness. ** CASUAL BUT CHALLENGING ** It's easy to learn: Just run as fast as you can while dodging or jumping over obstacles! Show them what a Soulrider is made of! Be the Hero! It seems like a cross between temple run and star stable. Well, I'm excited and if it isn't too much I'll probably play it. However, I am worried it sounds a childish. Well, we'll see! What do you think about it? I really enjoy the races at Hermit, mainly because they are short haha. But I would really like to be able to earn some JS on my favorite race by high scoring. It surprised me that SSO hadn't added it in sooner because it's the only race I know of that gives XP but isn't on the high scoring list and you can't race on as a group. But hey, I'm home today! I'm going out for two days away tomorrow but today I have finally done the canoe touring and boom, chilling at home getting ready for tomorrow. I'll be back properly on Monday evening!
Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. We all waited outside the arena, milling around. Ali sat, head in her hands, muttering what sounded like the routine to herself. Indeed, it was time for dressage. Sadly, this was a bit of an event on the island and so crowds of spectators had gathered to watch almost as if the pressure of being thrown out wasn’t bad enough.
“You’ll be fine,” Alice said, looking for nervous. How is she nervous? She’s easily the top of the class. It was impossible not to like Alice. She was modest, willing to help and seemingly unaware of her skill but not in an annoying way. Eylisa had lost her normal strut, Liv looked quite pale, Alex was shaking causing her poor horse to shake. I knew that everyone wanted Elysia to be thrown out so it was a pity that she was one of the best. It’s unfortunate that in the real world things don’t work out like that. “Shawl, Kate,” I heard the big speakers cry. Ok my turn. Alka and I had been through the routine so many times in warm up but it was different now. I lead him in forcing myself to be calm so I didn’t scare him. “Ride,” I told myself, “Ride.” And so we started. I almost entirely let myself blank it all out, just with the odd thought of “make sure you’re tall” and “imagine the circle on the inside”. Little things that could make all of the different between returning. Finally, we came to a halt in front of the judges. I bowed and out we went - all over. The girls and I met up in the hayloft, our hang out spot. Maybe it wasn’t the safest but it hadn’t collapsed on us yet so I hoped that it wouldn’t. “I think I did ok, messed up the serpentine, I was far too close to the H,” Alice began. “Well, I forgot the routine so…” Alex trailed off. We all stayed in silence a few seconds, forgetting a routine was not at all good. “Oh well,” Ali said, “Mum and Gareth, my brother, made me and Sonika go bright red from embarrassment when she cornered Tyra and began asking if I’d been eating enough.” We all laughed, letting our fears for tomorrow be carried away. Well, I think that it's high time for another theory post and I started thinking about this one when I saw this: Did they have a rider working with them? For this we will presume that yes they did. So what does this mean? Well, here's a fun theory. We're meant to be a well known rider around Jorvik... right? So what if they meant for us to be the rider! If so, as bad as it sounds, I wish that they'd succeeded because that would have been awesome. I certainly hope for that in the future. I mean, come on, imagine being able to ride a horse that isn't yours in the quest and imagine being kidnapped. I don't suppose there's any chance of this quest line happening if Butterfly got recaptured? (I don't mean for that to sound that bad.)
