Today I wanted to share some tips on how I make outfits. I am not perfect out making outfits and I often don’t have all of the right clothes, but I thought I’d share what I know and can do. The first thing is you need to think about what you want to create. Sometimes I want a certain theme, sometimes I want it to match a certain horse or in this case a top: The next thing I do it look at the colours on the top. You can see a brown, green and a very faint purple. So then I just try and duplicate these colours on the rest of my outfit. As you see here: the yellow hat and gloves are the match the background, the green shoes matches the green (even if it isn’t a perfect match) and the jeans are the base for most outfits, but they have a little hint of pink. Now it’s time to choose a horse. I try and choose one that shares the same colours as the outfit. In this case, I chose Lily my Jorvik Pony because she has the same kind of colour as the top and looks very nice in brown. When it came to tack, I decided to bring out the green in the outfit more and then just go back to the light brown. For every outfit there has to be a base colour with ‘side colours’ that just help the outfit out.
Here in the finished thing:
